Clear dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, coffee, dusty coffee, espresso, wood, oak, alcohol, light coffee vegetables. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long to average duration, coffee bitter, coffee, sweet mat, dark malt, sweet coffee, oak. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic.

Bottle - Nice coffee and dark chocolate, with a small bourbon kick. Jet black with a rich brown head. Roast coffee bean and chocolate with all the usual bourbon notes. Bottle @ Perennial. Black pour with a small khaki head. Spicy coffee, lots of bourbon, and fudge on the nose. A nice bit of roasted malt, cocoa, and toffee. Slightly boozy flavor. But, really awesome coffee and bourbon. Plenty of vanilla, spicy coffee, and sweet chocolate fudge. Some charred oak and roasted malt as well. Bottle at James’. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Big roast and chocolate and cocoa on the nose. Ashy with some green pepper. Medium bodied, sweet and almost cloying. Sampled from the bottle at the brewery. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of barrel, roasted malts and sweet chocolate with dark grains backing. Flavor has chocolate and coffee with a decent amount of dark grain and a bit of barrel.
