HomeBrewHawk (464) - De Soto, Kansas, USA - AUG 2, 2013
750ml bottle served in a tulip. Pours a deep reddish brown, almost black. Not much head. Some fruit and dark malt in the aroma. More dark malt in the flavor. Finishes with some fruit and a bit of a harsh note. Fuller side of medium bodied, not a lot of carbonation. A little odd.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong rye, berries, roast. Thin mouth, similar flavors to nose, light fruit, good.

hopscotch (11409) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 5, 2015
Bottle... Pours murky and brown with a small, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. The nose is a collage of spicy grains, roasted malts, lightly fruity raspberries and a hint of campfire smoke. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with airy carbonation. The flavor offers roasted malts and snappy, grainy rye malt. Well-balanced. Finishes roasty and lightly bitter. Bottle courtesy of gatorguy92!

DietPepsican (1589) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - APR 11, 2015
UPDATED: APR 12, 2015 Murky brown off white head. Dark berry, cocoa, toffee. Velvety palate. Tame dark fruit. Lift.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of blackberries, dark malts, some rye, spiciness, and some dough. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. An interesting beer but not the best.

Hey Barry, get off my floor. Seriously. STOP! Bottle from Keir. Thanks! A: Blackberry color with a foamy mocha head. The head, which indicates nothing, not even that this blew up and drenched my floor - leaving me 20 minutes clean up time. N: Blackberry, soy, rye, peppercorn, earth, and pine. Some cocoa and coffee elements. Finished with blueberry. T: Slightly sour, sweet, and bitter. M: Creamy, medium body. No alcohol. O:: Not the most interesting beer I’ve ever had. I don’t really understand why you’d add fruit to a bitter smokey base. Also, I’m subtracting points for gushing, because I can.

Bottle, shared by me... in a location remote of my dining room.
Pours a dark brown with purplish hues, it’s got a decent head and some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is pretty strong on blackberry with some medicinal stuff and some reserved sweetness. It’s rich and robust with a bit of rye bread aroma.

The flavor is pretty centered around those berries but while displaying only a mild sweetness. The bitterness is mild but well employed. It’s got a sort of whole grain bread sort of character to it as well.

I liked it pretty well.

Bottle at CapFlu’s Blomster Bash
Dark brown color. Mild rye bread aroma. Caramel flavor with mild sourness; ordinary bitterness; some alcohol.

burg326 (5628) - Florida, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Poured a dark brown with some purple highlights with aromas of malt, rye and some berries. Flavors are sweet berries, malt, grapes and light nuts. OK overall was expecting better.

CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 28, 2014
Very toasty with a hint of nuts. Fun toasted malts. Vanilla, cocoa with a thin elixir finish. Nice.

Ferris (17070) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 28, 2014
Bottle - Blueberry and toasted malt. Dark maroon with a beige thin head. Chocolate malts, blueberry, light funk and a long finish. Neither sweet nor sour, not their best.
