Pint from a bottle at Perennial. A darker honey gold pour with a kind of funky head. Light lacing remained. This beer was grainy, malty, and nicely hopped. Fruit was nice and it had a moderate bitterness. Some toastiness and a bit of caramel. Nice beer. jcnielsen (3412) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Bottle picked up at Perennial. Pours a copper color with white head. Grainy, earthy, bready aromas. Toast, grain flavors with a touch of bitterness at the end. Pretty nice lager. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - JAN 16, 2013
(bottle at brewpub) amber with off white head. Malt aroma. Flavor is sweetish caramel malt, a hint of grassy hops in the finish. gregwilsonstl (2499) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Very cloudy brown. Thin head. Very sweet and light. Like a wheat soda. Very drinkable. vyvvy (6460) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Sampled at Augusta Bottoms Beer Fest - Pours clear copper / orange with an off-white head. The aroma has smooth caramel lager maltiness, good amount of toast, light spice and smooth hazelnut. Medium smooth body with a minor amount of carbonation. The flavor start with slick lager malt, dry caramel, spice, toffee and a nice balance to everything. The finish adds some crusty bread. Really nicely done.

Bottle. From perennial. Tropical fruity but based on caramel malt. Glowing red amber with beige head. Good lacing. Balanced. With malt slightly winning overt in the taste expression, with a nutty biscuity ness. This has a slick drink ability and hop expression that is unique to the style. wxman (1819) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Pours a clear pale amber with a nice white head. Slight bready aroma. Sweet toasted malt, buttery, bready and light hop taste. A really good Munich/Marzen! BTW, this beer is identified as a Munich style lager by the brewmaster. There is nothing Dort or Helles about it. Don’t know who entered that into the description here, but it goes against the brewer’s description and the taste, overall appearance and mouth feel. jandd1983 (4318) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - OCT 15, 2012
It poured a golden color with a small white head. The aroma was some maltiness with hops and a little roastiness. The taste was also similar with maltiness and hops. It was a lighter beer than they normally brew, but still very good. beernbourbon (1592) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - JUN 28, 2012
Draft at brewpub. Pour is clear amberwith a medium white head. Aroma is light biscuit malt with faint hints of floral hops and a touch of roast. Pretty light. Flavor is also quite light with hints of biscuit malt and light floral hops. Very light all around. Session. phaleslu (10246) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2012
Draft at Perennial. Pours a bit darker than a typical Dortmunder/helles; rather than a clear gold, this one is more of an orange color with a small off-white head. Notes of pale and cereal malts, grassy hops, straw, crackers, and toasted sugar. Light-bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a crisp, dry mouthfeel. I split a small one with my wife, so I need to try this one again and re-rate when I get a better handle on it.
