rich malty aroma. very full body. fantastic malt flavor, they really nailed the festbier/münchener lager flavors. not overly hoppy, a very solid amber lager. vyvvy (6481) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Sampled at Augusta Bottoms Beer Fest - Pours clear copper / orange with an off-white head. The aroma has smooth caramel lager maltiness, good amount of toast, light spice and smooth hazelnut. Medium smooth body with a minor amount of carbonation. The flavor start with slick lager malt, dry caramel, spice, toffee and a nice balance to everything. The finish adds some crusty bread. Really nicely done. thomas15 (689) - Alabama, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Bottle. From perennial. Tropical fruity but based on caramel malt. Glowing red amber with beige head. Good lacing. Balanced. With malt slightly winning overt in the taste expression, with a nutty biscuity ness. This has a slick drink ability and hop expression that is unique to the style. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - JAN 16, 2013
(bottle at brewpub) amber with off white head. Malt aroma. Flavor is sweetish caramel malt, a hint of grassy hops in the finish. Strykzone (7363) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - APR 5, 2013
Pint from a bottle at Perennial. A darker honey gold pour with a kind of funky head. Light lacing remained. This beer was grainy, malty, and nicely hopped. Fruit was nice and it had a moderate bitterness. Some toastiness and a bit of caramel. Nice beer.

Orange clear pour from draft at perennial. White head. Off fruit taste. Basement. Good for the style. Bif (2245) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - SEP 20, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy coppery color with a small head. Aroma of some malt sweetness, grain and citrus in the background. Taste of malt sweetness, trace of fruit and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, crisp and flavorful. Enjoyable beer that goes down easy. seymour (2045) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - OCT 26, 2016
Half-Liter glass stein on tap at the 2016 Urban Chestnut Oktoberfest. It poured a mostly clear golden colour, very lively foam, long-lasting with lace. Grainy, biscuity, grassy, black pepper spice, noble hop balance. Definitely Germanic in style, with a faint tartness not found in classic examples, but supported the dry finish in a nice way. Tasty and refreshing.phaleslu (10274) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2012

Tasted from bottle into a snifter. It poured a mostly clear orangish-amber color with persistent creamy off-white foam and a little lace. Aromas and flavors of bread, sweet malts, caramel, faint noble hops, faint black pepper. Smooth and balanced, it tasted a bit like an Oktoberfest but fruitier with a mellow spiciness. Mild, balanced and unassuming. Good stuff.
Draft at Perennial. Pours a bit darker than a typical Dortmunder/helles; rather than a clear gold, this one is more of an orange color with a small off-white head. Notes of pale and cereal malts, grassy hops, straw, crackers, and toasted sugar. Light-bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a crisp, dry mouthfeel. I split a small one with my wife, so I need to try this one again and re-rate when I get a better handle on it. RobertDale (6483) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUL 16, 2013
750 ml. bottle purchased at the brewery in March. Pours a clear medium gold with a nice white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Taste is malt, wheat, caramel, spice, and a bit of hops. Very nice brew.
