Bottle. Pours black with a creamy brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of coconut with a strong lactose backbone and a bit roasted malt. Flavor starts with lactose and coconut and has a growing roasted malt note that adds a bit of bitterness. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle at WLV Liquors. Pours black with a thin beige head. Roast toasty and lactic aroma. roasted chocolate flavors that are only lightly sweet. Some coconut and lactic notes with toasted nuts. A decent amount of hops. Solid. DuffMan (10549) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 11, 2012
Bottle, shared with my lovely wife. Very very dark brown, copper-red highlights. Huge roast on the nose, huge, with sweet undertones but not specifically coconut. The coconut does come through in th palate though, in a natural non-sweet way, like coconut milk. There is a distinct lactic sweetness that smoothes out the hearty robust burnt malt. Quite sweet and chocolatey. Very full bodied, velvety mouthfeel. Just really delicious, a big surprise! Tmoney99 (14766) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 7, 2012
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, coconut and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy sweet toasted black malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a oily smooth texture and flat carbonation. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Bottle, 11/5/2012. Pours deep brown/black, creamy tan head with great retention. Aroma is fluffy marshmallow chocolate, roasted malts, lightly nutty, mild coconut sweetness. Taste is milk chocolate and coconut, nice bitter roast to offset, with some darker chocolate notes, vanilla. Medium palate, surprisingly smooth and creamy, which is nice. Well done.

750mL bottle, sent from tstockstrom (thanks Chuck), pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of coconut flakes, milk, some mild sweet roast, and some sweet chocolatey notes. Flavour is extremely coconut-forward, with a milky, viscous palate; there is some mild sweetness, perhaps coming from the coconut, but no roast or malt balance for the sweetness. Medium-bodied, again with the coconut fully upfront. Solid impie. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Nearly black pour at GABF. Loads of mounds bar in the nose and flavor. Hell this might as well be a candy bar with alcohol. Sweet, smooth and incredibly delicious. RoyalFlushing (326) - Mamaroneck, New York, USA - OCT 26, 2012
Bottle poured a deep black with a small foamy mocha head, active carbonation, and notable lacing. Aroma is big milk stout lactose with hints of bourbon and dark fruit, but surprisingly no coconut for me. Taste begins with roasted malt and lactose followed by dark fruit, cocoa, and slight coconut flavor. Nice creamy mouthfeel with flavors lingering on the palate. Very enjoyable, but would have liked more coconut aroma and flavor. b3shine (9025) - Indiana, USA - OCT 25, 2012
750 ml to snifter (thanks alexsdad06). Looks good; a dull black with beige lacing. Smells sweet and malty with notes of coconut. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Nice! beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Sampled at GABF 2012. The milk stout portion starts out well but then the sugar from the coconut takes over and it becomes a bit too sweet for me. Good chocolate notes that I wished I got more of.
