COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fantastic Voyage is a harmonic melange of coconut and Imperial Milk Stout brought to us by brewer Jim Leabig. Loads of coconut, lactose and black malt balance each other to provide flavors reminiscent of chocolate covered coconut with a finish smooth like silk sheets. Best enjoyed while listening to slow jams by candlelight.

This was a real treat. Heavy sweet chocolate aroma with toasted coconut in the background. Basically no carbonation in this beer, but it wasn't missed. The flavor reminded me of an Almond Joy candy bar. Excellent sweet chocolate and loads of toasted coconut. My girlfriend, who isn't a big beer drinker, said she'd drink it any day. Very sweet, very chocolatey, very smooth and creamy feel to the drink. Mostly coconut flavor stays on the palate, which sounds odd for a beer, but it was delicious. Highly recommended!

Bottle shared much thanks to Dmac. Pours out a slightly reddish hued dark brown color with a small off white head. Aroma is of chocolate, coconut milk, light roast and some mild dark fruits. Taste is like a chocolate covered coconut patty with some roast, a little bit of dried fruity notes and a light lingering bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel.

750 ml bottle via trade. Poured a great looking dark black body under a smaller to possibly average sized dark beige tight foamy head. Aroma of chocolate pudding, hint of dark fruits, slight soy sauce, cola and earth. Medium bodided that at times seemed a touch thin with average carbonation and an average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor of chocolate pudding, wet coffee grounds, dark toast. Not really getting the coconut on this one but it was towards the end of the night.

Pours true black with a thin, fine brown head. Initial aroma is heavy on chocolate and really sweet. Initial taste is chocolate, coffee and nutty, with just a slight hint of coconut at the end. Roasty malty flavor comes through nicely. Creamy, sweet finish. Overall, this is a smooth, rather complex, but easy-sipping offering. Playful little brew.

750ml bottle via trade (bottled 7/12). Very dark brown almost black with a fizzy light tan head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma of chocolate, coconut, black malt and vanilla. Flavor is sweet milk chocolate, coconut, vanilla and light roasted coffee. Full body with a thick, lush mouth feel. This is a very good beer, lots of chocolate, coconut and vanilla with just the right amount of sweetness.

25.4 oz bottle. Dark brown with a thick and creamy tan head. Nose is cocoa, coffee, coconut and wood. Silky medium body with a sudsy buzz. Really fun to drink. Taste is coffee and cream, toasted coconut and dates with an ashy finish. Need to find more.

750 ml bottle courtesy of phaleslu. Pours dark brown to black with a small creamy off white head with sporadic lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coconut, dark fruits with a light nutty note thrown in. The flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, coconut, lactose sweetness, mild ashy notes with a light bitterness to the finish. Very smooth with a medium plus body. This got better as it warmed.

Bottle into a glass. Very dark brown pour. Not pitch black or oily. Head is medium brown, pillowy, and fades quickly to the edges. Aroma is toasty malt and a little marshmallow. Palate is really thin for an imperial stout. Maybe an imperial porter? The alcohol is really well hidden, and can only be detected in the aroma as it warms. It goes perfectly with some cheesecake... Taste is vanilla, coffee, milk chocolate, roasted malts, maybe a little burnt sugar sweetness. I only got a little coconut on the finish. Pretty good.

bitter upfront but a cocoanut milk flavor that appears in the finish. About middle of the pack as stouts go
