This was nasty, smelled and tasted like rotten milk. And I clean enough of that out of my toddlers sippy cups. Could not drink. jmarsh123 (166) - Indiana, USA - SEP 30, 2013
Beer pours pitch black with a very thin dark mocha head with poor retention. Lacing is stringy, spotty and sparse with little cling. Thin legs. Average.
Sharing during a cellar stout clean out by my friend.
Pours black with a small off-white head. Decent lacing.
Nose contains lots of coconut and milk chocolate with some roasted malts. Can definitely smell the lactose in this.
Flavor starts with more milk chocolate (chocolate and lactose). Coconut then comes on pretty strong (too strong in my opinion). There is a touch of roasted malt, but not enough to balance out the sweetness. Lots of coconut on the aftertaste.
Lighter bodied for a stout. Finishes sweet and got a little cloying by the bottom of the glass. A little overcarbed.
This one failed for me as a beer. Did not like the coconut interplay and did not contain enough roast to rein in the lactose. It succeeded for me as a way to integrate my 90’s rap playlist into the night’s events so slight bonus for that. brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 29, 2013
Bottle @ Richard’s tasting. Black pour with a tan head. Roast, coconut, and vanilla on the nose. Kind of metallic, some olive, and a bit of tartness. Weird. Flavor starts off with some nice coconut and vanilla notes. Plenty of roast, some chocolate, and olives. Metallic finish. Kind of acidic. Imperial_Scout (363) - Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2013
Pours deep black with creamy head. Nose is very sweet cocoa, almost syrupy. Taste is thick but very, very sweet and the almost a spoiled milk taste. Over powered the beer. Might have been a bad batch. rosenbergh (12021) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 25, 2013

Black colour with a small tan head.
Roasted malt, berries, mild bitterness, mild coconut and chocolate in the aroma.
The flavour is quite raw. It would’ve needed more time to age.
Hops, berries, mild sourness and roasted malt. Oily. Really raw flavour.
Bottle thanks to Bruce at the Pre-Zwanze. It pours cloudy darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, toffee, caramel, fudge, wood and chocolate. The taste is rich, roasty, chocolate, lactose, tangy berry, jam and dark fruit with a dry, fruity finish. Full body and fine, prickly carbonation. Perhaps a touch tangier than it was meant to be, but it’s tasty nonetheless. teorn88 (8066) - Rimini, ITALY - SEP 15, 2013
75cl bottle at Bruce’s, thank to the host himself. Pours brown with almost no head. Aroma is coffee and some dust. Some coconut. Taste is sweet acidic. Lactose, sourness, quite tangy. Some alcohol. Finishes quite dry. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. Overall, quite good.

Bottle at pre zwanze tasting. Sweet roast and musty aroma. Some choc. Opaque black light tan head. Flavour is tart sour edge to big roast and choc. Alcohol is present. Interesting. I’m not sure that this was supposed to be sour. Leighton (23090) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2013
Bottle at the Pre-Zwanze tasting - London. Pours clear, ddep brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has some tangy dark malts, hints of dark berries. Medium sweet flavor with some sugary chocolate, slight coconut oil, mint. The infection has definitely started to take hold but thankfully it’s still OK. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Sweet finish, further sugary chocolate, some tangy berries. Pity the beer isn’t as it ought to be. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Bottle shared by GatorGuy92. Cheers, Matt! Pours a porter/ stout brown with a tan head. Nose is roast, coffee, earth, and lactose with hints of coconut. Flavor follows with roast, coffee, earth, and lactose, coconut dialed back a little bit. Light to medium in body and lingering coffee and lactose on the finish.
