Can’t believe I never entered my rating. Aroma of chocolate, lactose and coconut. On the pour it looks like a car bomb with a deep brown head forming after some chaos a top a black body. Taste is sweet chocolate, lactose, coconut and some roast. Delicious... Braudog (6836) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 17, 2013
Bottle. Black and oily, yet presents a thin, giving head. Presents a sweet vanilla aroma. Drinks silky smooth. Burns like a spirit, but rolls with a cake-like sweetness, and chocolate cream. (#5167, 7/8/2013) DocLock (11048) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2013
750 shared at Craft Ale House. Poured dark brownish black with tan head. Nose was roasty dark malts, mild creamy molasses. Tastes roasty dark malty, with notes of molasses, cacao, mild creaminess. I didn’t get much cocnut in this. A decent stout. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUL 12, 2013

Draft at Alla Spina. Pours black with thin tan head and mild spots of lace. Nose of lactose, booze, roasted malt, chocolate, coconut and disappointment. Medium mouthfeel. Strange combination of flavors. Easily my least favorite beer I’ve had from Perennial. durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 1, 2013
Bottle picked up at the taproom. Pours an inky black with a relatively modest tan head. Nose of chocolate, with notes of both sweet milk chocolate and dark chocolate present. Nutty hints as well as some prune and light toasted coconut. More of the latter on the taste, but really married with the chocolate such that there’s never a distinct coconut flavor. Sweet, but a bit of sharp near-bitterness as well. Big beer. jeremyh70 (1115) - Missouri, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Pours black with a small khaki head and good lacing. Aroma of cream and chocolate with roasted malt and coffee. Taste is a little tart with roasty flavors. Coffee and chocolate mid palate. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium bodied with high carbonation. Nice mouthfeel and roasty flavors but don't like the tartness and was expecting some coconut flavor. kambei70 (1114) - - JUN 29, 2013
2013 bomber to a snifter. Pours a very dark brown to black with a good sized khaki head. Aroma is roasty and creamy with a slight sourness. Taste is roasted malt with a creamy, coconut undertone and a little sour grape. Has a coating mouthfeel that sticks to the tongue.
