Fantastic Voyage is a harmonic melange of coconut and Imperial Milk Stout brought to us by brewer Jim Leabig. Loads of coconut, lactose and black malt balance each other to provide flavors reminiscent of chocolate covered coconut with a finish smooth like silk sheets. Best enjoyed while listening to slow jams by candlelight.

2013 bomber to a snifter. Pours a very dark brown to black with a good sized khaki head. Aroma is roasty and creamy with a slight sourness. Taste is roasted malt with a creamy, coconut undertone and a little sour grape. Has a coating mouthfeel that sticks to the tongue. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black color with a good khaki color head. Smells of creamy, lactose, chocolate milk, not much of the coconut. Coconut in the taste but not overly, milk chocolate, a little sourness towards the end that's doesnt quite fit. Some coffee and roast but distant. Interesting overall would have liked more of the coconut tastes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyed this Mighty Brew at Issac Newton’s to start off Philly Beer Week. At the time, this was the best coconut beer I had ever tried....since surpassed later that week. Still, a damn fine Imperial Stout!

on tap Very dark brown almost black with a fizzy light tan head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma of chocolate, coconut, black malt and vanilla. Flavor is sweet milk chocolate, coconut, vanilla and light roasted coffee. Full body with a thick, lush mouth feel. This is a very good beer, lots of chocolate, coconut and vanilla with just the right amount of sweetness

Bottle. Pours a black color with tan head. Lactose, coconut aromas. Tangy, coconut, chocolate flavors. Pretty tangy, seems a little off. Probably my least favorite Perennial beer that I’ve had.

Bottle in KC, thanks to jcnielsen. Pours a dark brown/black appearance with a dark brown head. Roasty malty, coconut milky, a touch minty, chocolate/coffee aroma. Tangy, sort of spicy/minty, a bit fruity (strange), chocolate milky flavor. Honestly, the flavor seems a little messed up.

Draft at Bigelo’s. The looks like a big dangerous stout but it drinks so smooth. Coconut, chocolate, roasted coffee notes, dark fruit, lactic. This was so interesting and so smooth. Just a delightful beer. If you are looking for an over the top out of control imperial stout then pass this one up. It is none of that. What it is is a beautifully crafted joining of some wonderful flavors. Really impressed by this.

Sample from a 750ml bottle, thanks to phaleslu. Dark brown color. Thin light brown head. Dots of lace. Some metallic in the aroma. Nice moderate roast malt. Light coconut. Some dark chocolate. Bigger body. Lighter, crisp carbonation. Lightly dry in the finish. Moderate bitter taste. Light sweet. Decent imperial milk stout, not too sweet, but the flavor profile seems a little muted
