COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fantastic Voyage is a harmonic melange of coconut and Imperial Milk Stout brought to us by brewer Jim Leabig. Loads of coconut, lactose and black malt balance each other to provide flavors reminiscent of chocolate covered coconut with a finish smooth like silk sheets. Best enjoyed while listening to slow jams by candlelight.

MAFountain (48) - Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA - SEP 18, 2012
750ml bottle poured to a Perennial Snifter: Aroma: Alcohol, coconut, chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Appearance: A foamy, quickly dissipating mocha head, that leaves no lacing. Taste: A medium sweetness. Palate: The body is light for the style. Fizzy carbonation, a thin, slick texture, with creamy notes on the finish which is long. The mouthfeel is perhaps the most complex element of this beer. Overall: This is my third time trying this, and have decided to review it finally. Being that it is my third time having it, obviously I would recommend it. I believe it’s a well done interesting take on a milk stout, introducing the coconut to it. Surprised I have not had coconut in more stouts. Another well done beer from Perennial.

tmoreau (4637) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - NOV 8, 2017
On tap at Ellyn's Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL. as a 5 oz. serving, displaying a black/brown hue, fluffy persistence to the light brownish tan layer of froth, with ribbons & spots of foamy lacing. The nose was roasted, woody & nutty, candy bar sweet, with chocolate & nougat, and toasted coconut. Medium to full bodied, with low carbonation, but a nice creaminess to the texture, the taste was like notes as the aroma, including decent alcohol presence, and roasted & earthy bitterness. Smooth and just sweet enough, in a pleasant, dessert-like manner.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a motor-oil colored, pitch black with a half a finger of foam that lingers. Dark cacao nib, coconut bars all over the nose....mounds bar. Candied, dried coconut flavor on the palate really stands out. Straight up tastes like a Mounds candy bar. Chewy coconut and cacao. Smooth and would go nice with dessert. Super well executed.
