(750ml bottle) clear ruby-brown, tan head. Nose of cinnamon, mashed cherries, touch of acetic acid, caramel. Taste of cherry, very very light vinegar, red wine, delicious, no throat closing.

Bottle. Dark brown pour little bit of white head. Aroma, sweet tartness, oak, and leather. Taste, sweet tartness, not acidic, finishes slight sour, with a tartness that lingers.

Draft to snifter at Funk Asheville. Looks good; a somewhat hazy dark amber with eggshell lacing. Smells good too; tart and funky with notes of cherry and oak. Tastes like it smells with a nice, tart mouthfeel. Good beer!

draft at resurrection for PBW..dark red auburn color with a small white head..aroma is really sour cherry omnipresent..mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with vinous wood notes and cherry leading the way.very pleasant tasting and well crafted complex offering that I was happy to try...not overly sour or puckering but just enough to let one know that real quality ingredients are in play here..fruity with out being out of control and just the right amount of time it seems like in the barrels..wild characteristics add to the intrigue here and produce an overall tasty american flanders red..

Definitely a lot of tart, sour cherries here. Light orange notes as well. Pours dark brown with good head and lacing. Finishes tart and tangy. Soft carbonation, and great package. Thanks to Donny for a taste of this. Tap at Churchkey.

dfroms (477) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Draft at Black Squirrel. Pours a pretty garnet color with small tan head. Aroma approaches world-class sour brown complexity: red wine, apricot, sour cherry, slight coffee and chocolate notes. Taste is stone fruit, sour cherry, red wine barrel, lemony lactic acidity. Very drinkable, smooth mouth feel. Outstanding.
