On draft at Hunahpu Day. Pours a deep red with a pink head. Nose is some cherries, vinegar, oak, cherry pie, and sweetness followed by a bit of sour punch. Flavor is similar- tart cherries, cherry pie, vanilla, oak, and a sour punch. An interesting sour overall and really one to sit back and ponder. arminjewell (9744) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 24, 2014
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, dark reddish brown pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of cherry, pie, spice, vanilla, oak, tannins, nice sour lemon notes into a bit of earth, slight vinegar in there but not bad. Taste is a mix of tart lemon, sour cherry, dark berry into a bit of earth, oak, tannins, vanilla, some cinnamon, finishing slightly spicy, oaky, bitter, nice and tart. pretty tasty, this is how I like my Flanders reds. Bottle. Pours maroon brown with rapidly dissipating khaki head, no lace. Aroma is vinous, huge cab, oaky, dried and candied cherries and plums. Tastes mildly tart, vinous and fading into tart cherry, with a sweet cab, mildly oaky, floral/rose finish. Lingering mildly tart, oaky, vinous, cherry aftertaste. Reminds me of Sante Fe’s Kriek. Soft carbonation, medium body, mildly juicy texture. RobertDale (7050) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - APR 15, 2014

It poured a reddish color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of cherry, some berry, a little wine and vinegar. The taste was of cherry juice flavors and more berries. There was a hint of sour in the backbone. Very nice. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 30, 2014
Red pour with a light pinkish head. This is really delicious. The first thing you taste is a good sour punch and then that leads into a wonderful cherry pie, oaky and light vanilla flavor. Very damn delicious. Huhzubendah (3776) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 24, 2014
Tasted at the Perennial Artisan Ales dinner at Churchkey in D.C. Review from notes.
The beer is ruby hued with nary a trace of head. The aroma brings cherries (duh), brown sugar (?). A combination of sweet and sour, and a messy one at that. Muddled and unrefined. A bit thin and watery with an overall oddness about the whole beer. While BA Abraxas was the clear winner of the evening, this was the clear loser. Not so much.

Tasted from bottle at the Friday night tasting at RBWG Asheville, thanks to phaleslu for sharing. Pours hazy burnt orange with a thin beige head that leaves thin lace. The nose is caramel and vanilla malt with fruitiness including tart cherry and a vinous oaky aroma. The flavor is a bit more sour with the caramel malt and plenty of tart cherry. The body is full with plenty of drying tannin, average carbonation and a long sour and tart cherry finish. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 4, 2014
