UPDATED: APR 19, 2014 Dark amber with a hint of red. This is the sour brown LA Boheme which was just released 12/21/2013. Tart with a hint of cherries. Refreshing without a long sour finish. Slight sweet aroma. One of the better sours I?ve tasted. I just had it on tap at perennial (4/19/2014), and it is better on tap. You get a strong vanilla flavor at the end of the cherry flavor. If you can, try it at perennial on tap.
Bottle shared downtown during RBWG 2014 - Asheville Late-Nite. Cheers! Pours clear amber with a bubbly topping. Good and tart, with leathery berries, plum, moderate acetic burn. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bracingly tart to finish, with more tangy berries. Refreshing. Overall, solid. Dr_Fellini (1020) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - JUN 10, 2015
2013 Bottle to glass. Pours a murky medium brown mahogany color with a light tan head. Aroma is dry, mildly tart, cherry, yeast. Flavor has a solid tartness to it that lingerings into the finish. Very nice. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2015
On tap at Perennial, pours a hazy red with a light pink head and no lacing in the glass, the aroma is full of sour cherries mixed with vanilla and oak from the barrel, little bit of brett comes through too, the flavor has a tart front end with cherries again but the oak and dryness from the red wine seems to show in the finish too, pretty good stuff. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Draft at Big Wood 2014. Really nice blend of cherry and red wine. Muddy red-brown. Acerbic, like a super-tart flanders red with some oak and red wine. Sharp, but oh man, this is just delicious. luttonm (6169) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 6, 2014
Draft at Big Wood 2014 at Brouwer’s. Rich leather brown, foamy tan head. Tart leather red. Earthy, spicy herbs. Pumpkin beer spice, cinnamon, allspice. Soft tart red. Soft cherry. Very interesting.

Tap: Brown & chestnut body with a slight ruby-red tint; a foamy khaki collar forms on top. Aroma of rich cherry flesh & slightly sharp cherry skin notes, moderate cinnamon spice, vinegar, mild lactic acid, & a touch of oaky wood tannins in the back-end. Big, tart cherry skin flavor out of the gate with a nice & light acidity to it. More lactic in the sourness towards mid-palate. Solid vinegar backdrop without getting to acetic or sharp. Hints of cinnamon-like spice, a bit of tart lemon, mild oak, & a modest cherry finish. Maybe a small touch of vanilla, too. Really nice sour ale. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Sampled during RBSG. From old notes. Loads of tart fruit and funky wood, some nice cherry notes in there. rxeight (3046) - Illinois, USA - NOV 16, 2014
Draft at FOBAB 2014. Solid sour. Tart. Cherry and berry. Mild to medium acidity. Good stuff. djd07 (14369) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 15, 2014
Bottle thanks to Seth. Pours a cloudy red brown with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong cherry skin, funk, wood. Thin mouthfeel with nice cherry skin, tart, light oak, very good. nickd717 (4645) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 28, 2014
Draft at Mikkeller bar. Deep brilliant dark blood red with an off white head. Vinegar and cherry on the aroma. The flavor starts light and tart then blasts you with a huge punch of cherry. I’m talking like New Glarus level. Big. Some red wine as well. Lively palate with medium acidity. Really awesome beer!
