Cloudy brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and crispy. Vegetal squash notes to start. Minerals. Mild cinnamon and other spices. Tiny bit of orange in the crisp finish. Sweet creamy vegetal aftertaste. Interesting!
750mL bottle, sent from coryking (thanks Cory), pours a cloudy dark orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma of squash, light maple syrup and what seems like other spices I can’t pick up on exactly. Flavour brings out a surprisingly well-blended mix of squash and maple syrup - dry caramel malts as well, with some other spicy notes. Dry, lightly spicy and nicely balanced. Cloudy copper color with a soapy off-white head. Intense spice aroma. Lots and lots of all spice and nutmeg to this one. Plenty of maple syrup with a walnut sort of aroma, too. The flavor is just as heavy on the spices and maple. There’s a really good squash flavor to this too. The spices really add a nice substance to the beer.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours very, very dark amber/brown with a creamy/bubbly beige head. The primary aroma is pumpkin pie spice. Squash seems to be buried in all that. On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of caramel, maple and light fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Bottle. Pours a clear amber gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a note of earthy grains and squash with a hint of sweetness underlying. Flavor has squash up front with sweet grains and a growing note of maple.
