2013 vintage. Pours no head/bubbles. Appearance - dark ruby brown. Aroma- lots of dark fruits, slight brown sugar. Not much booze. Palate- very soft, nice tight bite at end. Taste - given this is over a year, it's held up very well. Very mellow. Somewhat of a dry finish. Given that the booze goes largely unnoticed this is a very dangerous drink.

Sampled at the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest 2012 VIP after party - Pours very dark brown with a small off-white head. The aroma has dark fruit, plums, Belgian sweetness and Belgian quad yeastiness. The body is full and rich with soft velvety carbonation. The flavor starts with rich dark malt, lush plums, heavy dark fruitiness, Belgian yeast and better mention plums again because they are pretty prominent in the flavor. The finish is very quad like in the yeasty presence and big quad maltiness. Really great beer. phaleslu (10652) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Draft during the VIP afterparty at MWBBF. Split among our tasting group. Looks a lot like the regular Quad that poured during the fest- hazy brown-amber with almost no head. Hits a lot of the same notes, too, but certainly amps up the fruitiness; the cherry plums really pop on top of the raisin, caramel, sugar, and earthy notes. Medium-full bodied, with a fruity, sweet mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Another great quad from these guys.
