Hazy slightly deep golden with a thin ring of white foam. Gentle blonde sour nose with a kiss of sweetness and sweet white wine and a kiss of oak. Lovely gently sour flavor that’s gently white grape sweet tones and a gentle lingering apple tartness with a oaked and funky tart finish. Gentle sweet fruity finish. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - FEB 12, 2017
Pours a pretty clear golden without much of a head. Nose involves sweet tarts, some funkiness, and white grapes. More tart than sweet, not too insane but almost a bit clashing. Lighter bodied, low carb, slick, with a long tart grape finish. Ultimately not my thing. Not really into grapes or excessively sour stuff, and while this had sweet balance, it just didn’t work for me. Nowhere near dry enough on the finish, and at 8% it needs dryness. I can appreciate what they were doing to a point, and I’m sure many others would fine this fascinating and fun to drink. Not me though. Bule (2188) - California, USA - JAN 18, 2017

From notes. This was enjoyed at Jolly Pumpkin on October 1 for Zwanze Day 2016! The pour is a darker golden yellow with a thin white head that dissipates without lace. The aroma is definitely more like peach and grape skins than just grapes throughout. There is a nice tart stone fruit and a good woodiness throughout. There is hardly any funk, which I like. The flavor is really good. There is a vanilla graham cracker or cookie thing happening that is not at all what you’d expect. There is a good stone fruit on the back end that I don’t know its origins, but it’s lovely. The mouth feel is thin and crisp with a softer carbonation and a lingering woodiness on the finish. It’s a pretty good beer, that’s for sure.
