UPDATED: JAN 29, 2017 750 ml bottle, bottled 1/2016, shared by Werckmeister, thanks!
Pitch black, oily liquid, with a small, dense, creamy, coffee-colored head.
Wonderful, smooth aroma of coffee, melting dark chocolate, cocoa powder, some dark fruits, liquorice.
Tastes pretty similar, incredibly smooth, with a similar great balance of chocolate and coffee.
Full, oily, velvety mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smooth, medium roasty, a bit dry, with cocoa powder, coffee, some liquorice.

Wow, delicious! Exactly how I want an Imperial Stout, big, but incredibly smooth at the same time. Perfectly balanced, with lots of lovely coffee and chocolate notes, leading to a dense, creamy sipper. Among my favourite Imperial Stouts Ive had so far, this drinks so well!

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2017 0,75l bottle at home shared by me from a trade. Bottled 01/2016. black color, very small coffeee-colored head. smells of coffee, bitter herbal, bitter chocolate, licorice, some vanilla, cocoa. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of coffee, bitter chocolate, cocoa, light wood, vanilla, also some milk chocolate, lightly earthy, . finishes lightly bitter with notes of coffee, vanilla and chocolate notes. very lovely stuff, the balance is not totally right for me (vanilla a bit too dominant), but overall the falvours are still very lovely. very nice drinkability.

Bottle split at the Hackobock tasting, thanks to LKS, 24/11/16. Pitch black with a dirty tan head. Nose is light spice, charr, earthy, dark fruit rinds, cocoa powder, toffee. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee, dark malts, black pepper, molasses, treacle tart, earthy fruits, coffee grinds. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming boost in the close with a subtle bourbon vein. Solid impy work.
