A wonderfully balanced Berliner, definitely better on draft vs bottled. Would definitely get it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Guest tap at Urban Family, Seattle. Red grapefruit juice, hazed, small foam. Tart aroma. Clean tart red fruit, really tasty and inviting. Round fruity tart, tea and Berliner makes sense. Refreshing bright, modest clean sour. Very well done.

tmoreau (4164) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 15, 2016
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and dispensed to a Czech-pils glass showing a clear, light peach tea look, with a modest layer of white head foam that quickly diminished to a thin ring & film, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was lightly floral, tart, and esters as stone fruit, and a touch of citrus. Light bodied, and highly carbonated, with a seltzery nature to the effervescence. Some tartness persisted, but the fruitiness was somewhat washed out in the flavor, and the texture was a bit thin. Fairly tasty, but lacked the necessary pizzazz for the style.

On tap at Belmont Station. Colour...like a hazy rose wine with a thick white head. Nose...loads of generslised tea notes as well as hibiscus, rose petal and lemon zest. Palate...full, frothy, lively and bright with an expectedly tart feel and puckery zest. The tanginess is very much present and theres hints of grain on the back palate. The finish is quick and dry.

Cloudy orange pour with a single finger head. Tart aroma. Taste is tart as well and just explodes with blood orange and apricot. Very refreshing and fizzy. Lots of fruit in this. Really tasty. Medium bodied.

750 mL bottle. Pours a hazy pinkish color, medium whitish head, decent retention. Normally Id say beer should never be pink, but this gets its color from actual fruit and doesnt taste like Kool-Aid, so Ill let the pink thing slide. Nose is funky yeast, acidic and fruity (berries, sour apples and quince). Mouth is tart and fruity (noticing a pattern here?), creamy mouth feel, then a sweetness (which is probably more a perceived reaction by my tastebuds attempting to counter the sour acidic nature), berries, green apple, faint guava, green mango, grass, bread dough, subtle hop bitterness underlying. Corbin at Willowbrook Binnys was quite amped about this one and recommended it to me, and while Im not a huge Berlinerweisse fan (or much of a Perennial fan to be honest), Im glad I went with his suggestion. Very nice.
