Bottled, 0.33 l. Opalesquent dark brown colour, medium sized beige head. Low-keyed, malty nose. Mild sweet aroma ruled by toffee underpainted gently by roasted/toasted malt and some dried fruitiness. Mouthfeel is slick. Dry and long, sweetbitter, warming and roasty finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Amber beer with a very nice lasting beige head. Toffee aroma, vanilla, fruity, dark bread, some spicy notes, milky. Toffee flavor, fruity, figs, sourish, milky, a bit roasted, caramel, licorice, some bread. Fruity roasted finish with some bread. Alcohol is well hidden, I kinda enjoyed this beer.

pivoveskotsku (201) - SCOTLAND - JUN 20, 2012
On tap in Plzen. Very dark brown, tan head, Sweet and roasty aroma, bitter and roasted flavour, a touch too sweet. Much more like a porter than a Czech tmavy or a stout. Not bad, but too sweet to drink more than one, much like an overly Sweet chocolate cake.

3.5
