Bottle. Small white head. Clear cobber body. Sweet fruity aroma of apples and pears. Smooth and relatively sweet caramel honey flavor without much bitterness. Nice and different. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - SEP 22, 2003
Lager aroma; not unlike Pilsner Urquell. Dark gold in color with a forthy, off-white head. Ample visible carbonation. Good lager flavor. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - JAN 17, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 14, 2015 i´m always pleased when i find a czech pilsener that is quite different to the norm. this surprises with a roast malt aroma. weird porridge and peanut oil subsided to a good-o´s salty dryness. great stuff austinpowers (2831) - San Francisco, California, USA - AUG 4, 2002
In the US, this is called Pernstejn Czech Premium Lager. Darker than most lagers, with a sweet Czech malt. As it warms, the malt flavor increases. Believe it or not, I tasted sausage (in a good way, I guess).

Pale golden. Malty, salty and toffeeish with bitter finish. Tasty and unusual interpretation of the style.
