The original Italian lager. Peroni is the number one lager brand in Italy and has been for over one and a half centuries. This premium, clear, golden-yellow lager, with 4.7 ABV, is the result of the dedication to brewing of generations of the most qualified braumeisters.
Brewed using the finest spring barley malts and hops, its taste is slightly bitter. A refreshing smooth lager, Peroni is suitable for all occasions.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2017 Recently enjoyed several fresh pints of this on draft around Italy, and as far as European adjunct macro lagers go, its surprisingly tasty and refreshing. In most respects, just a generic sweet and grainy lager, notes of bread and some mild herbal hop flavor. Always looks fresh and appealing with a solid gold color and generous white foam and lacing. The thin palate betrays the corn adjunct but fortunately it doesn’t really come through in the flavor. Finishes thin and grainy, but is sufficiently crisp and refreshing on a hot day under the Umbrian sun. Although a decent thirst quencher, I would point Italian drinkers in the direction of Peroni’s all-malt Nastro Azzuro lager rendition, which otherwise essentially seems to be the same beer.

Bottle 33cl. Small white layer leaving. Quite flat. Clear pilsener color. Aroma is leaves, pear, grain, light malt. Taste is some sweet

Draft: Poured a clear golden color beer with a nice foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of adjunct and residual sugar notes is OK. Taste is mostly dominated by adjunct and residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Not the best lager out there for sure.

Refreshing with a slice of salty pepperoni pizza. Sad that an "Italian beer" is now owned be miller.

Pint, London. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma: biscuity malt, mild citrus, grass notes. Taste: biscuity malt, very mild citric flavour. Thin body. Moderate carbonation. Moderate lingering bitterness. Not bad, but still not a good quality lager.

Meh it's kinda skunky and not very good. It's the coors light of Italian beers ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The go-to beer after a glass of wine at our favorite Italian food restaurant. Sampled from the 330 ml bottle acquired at the neighborhood supermarket. It smells of grass, grain and metal. A sip gives me water, cereal and the barest hint of lemon. Just a bit of bitterness. This is not awful but it is far from grand. There is a time and a place for this brew.

33cl from bottle at Santa Maria (Ealing). Light, not very carbonated, and slightly metallic lager. Far from the best lagers out there
