Can. Pours clear pale yellow with foamy whitish head, yeast aroma, high arbonation, smooth malty taste with a bit of yeast flavor, thin body, medium malty finish. Quite a nice one.

Draft to pint. Looks solid; a transparent gold with white head. Smells and tastes of mild hops and grain with a mildly semi-sweet backbone. Mouthfeel is medium light-bodied and semi-clean. A decent but unmemorable example of the style.

DOC:?

2015 BJCP Category: 18A Blonde Ale

AROMA: Light buttery note; touch of apple or cider. Seems to have a light caramel malt presence. Minor spicy/floral hops. 6/12

APPEARANCE: Golden/maize hue; mostly clear. Moderate white foam never completely evaporates and leaves minor lacing. 2/3

FLAVOR: Mild palette with a soft malt sweetness and distinct caramel flavor as well. There is a subtle buttery/diacetyl taste on the finish but its not distracting or off-putting. Hops impart gentle bitterness and a slight spicy/citrusy taste. Not very exciting but not bad. 12/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body and matching carbonation. Though smooth, it would be better crisp. Aftertaste is briefly sweet but eventually fades to dry. Feels lighter than 4.9% ABV. 2/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Seems a bit amateurish for a production brewerys offering. Not bad, but it could be so much better. 5/10

TOTAL SCORE: 27/50

Can shared at au revoir tokyo at Gremlin. Thanks Gregg! Light grainy crackery malt nose with some faint lemon in the background. Crisp and clean and light on the palate. A bit simple, but nice and dry, crisp finish.

This should not qualify as an IPA. I'm legitimately not sure if it's just a bad tap. Tastes like a Pilsner that might have hops on it. Awful. Water. On tap at Turks outside Greenville, MI. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from a can, this ale had a clear gold -yellow pour and gave a white one finger cover that receded to a small ring and scatter of bubbles here and there, this drink had aromas of light bread malt, faint pear like fruit notes in the background, very faint spice and citrus hops, there was some bread and sugar sweetness, the flavors were light bread malt, citrus hops, and a little sweetness, the finish had a light bitterness with a little malt trailing afterwards, the mouth feel was light on the tongue, it was creamy and had average to lively carbonation, an easy drinking blond beer.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is straw forward with earthy grains and a bit of biscuit supporting. Flavor is similar with a combination straw and earthy grain that has a touch of sweetness.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Damn good robustness and balance of pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a damn nice American blonde ale style. All around great balance and robustness of pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
