Bomber. A very dark brown beer with a modest yellow head of froth and a nose of dried fruits and grains. Quite sweet, flavors of dried fruits and malt. A trace of bitterness. 3.6

650ml bottle, purchased late 2015 so I can only assume 2015 bottling. Wow, I gotta say this is pretty rich, smooth, and tasty for a ’young’ barley. Huge malty nose and sugars. Pours a lovely Indian red with a fairly prominent head that took its time to dissipate. Flavour is sweet dark fruity liquor, warming, with a mild hop bitterness combined with toffee. I was told this was good one, no complaints here... nothing but goodness... now I gotta wonder how this would age. Should have bought more bottles.

On tap at Alibi. Pours dark hazy amber with a tan head. Aroma and taste are sweet, figs, some hops, caramel, dark and candied fruits. Sweet, hoppy bitter aftertaste with caramel and unexpectadly roasted malt notes. Very good.

Thanks to Matt for this one! Cheers mate!

Dark brown color, with creamy vanilla. The aroma is basic, caramel, with hints of fudge and vanilla (6.5). Full bodied, yet with a lean mouthfeel; good malt flavor, caramel, and a hint of fudge and molasses; very nutty beer, especially in the final, where also some darker caramel appears, and a tiny liquorice vein; given that, I don’t think it will improve with age, better drink fresh.
Very good, well brewed, balanced; solid offer.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2016 2014. Dark red-brown, thick head. Aroma is deeply fruity, plums and cherries, light choc notes, sweet, with the same dark fruit notes, light choc, leather. Sugars are a bit indistinct. Warning finish with fruits getting a touch overripe. Good bw, 7 -4 - 7- 4- 15 = 3.7

2015. Dark plummy purple-brown colour, with no head. Has sort of a plummy, boozy aroma with some raisiny notes...not super complex. Very sweet, light raisin, fair bit of alcohol. Not as refined as last year, not as complex, this is sort of a sugar bomb that could probably use a blast in either a rum barrel to own that sugary sweetness or in a red wine barrel to cut it. 2 - 6 - 6 - 3 - 12

Deep brown pour with tan head. Sweet and fruity aroma with some sherry notes. Sweet, dark fruits, cardboard, sherry, booze, bitter and dry finish. Seriously oxidated. Maybe just this bottle.
