Bottle in Seattle. Big thanks to Andrew for bringing this to Seattle for me. Nice golden orange body with a moderate white foam. Nice resinous hop nose, orange and citrus with pine backing. Full sip, nice big and balanced hop bitterness. Lots of pine and resin. Really nice. Alcohol rather well hidden. Tasty. Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 8, 2017
Bomber. Unclear dirty orange, firmer-off-white foam settles and mostly fades. Aroma of dank forest fruity hop. Taste is fairly intense, sweet fruity hop, some bitter pine, leaner caramel malts, fruity resinous finish. Average carbonation, medium bodied, aggressively hopped. Thanks to Erik for this. Pours foggy golden with a small white top. Aroma is nice mango and tropical fruit hops. Taste is resinous tropical and mango hop bitterness, moderate with a nice dankness. Really nice beer. CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 19, 2015
Quick dissipating large creamy white head atop a clear, non carbonated orange body. Noser green pine cones. Very fresh and young. Good hop front with a resin punch. Sharp hops yet smooth malt. Surprising - a highly drinkable IIPA. Very well done. Purchased at the brewery in Gibsons for around $7 per 650ml. vadie (1257) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 17, 2015
Bottle. Hazy amber, offwhite lace. Rich tapestry of fruity hop aromatics - lychee, mango, peach, mint, lime, light onion. Slightly sticky full body - a bit resinny on the palate up front, but the fresh notes cut through that nicey. Fresh fruity and moreish finish. Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - DEC 10, 2014
Bomber, thanks to mcberko -- watch out, I’m only 600ish double ipas away from taking the top spot from you. I’m sitting down to start entering my backlog of beers, so I figure I might as well have a beer-entering beer, but I haven’t rated this so obviously I have to do that first. Clear pale pour with rocky white head and irregular lacing. Aroma at first is mostly resinous pine, but after it sits there’s also a grapefruit and tropical citrus element. Also biscuit and onions. Taste: everything a double ipa should be -- lean and hop driven -- lots of citrus, bitterness is well-integrated and balanced by a lean malt presence. Quite nice. Palate: full- body, light carbonation, oily texture. Overall: impressive brew.
