COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian style Blonde Ale is made with Belgian pilsen and Belgian aromatic malts plus lots of East Kent Goldings hops for lots of flavor. However, it’s the Belgian Abbey yeast that defines this ale, adding a spicy bonus to a crisp, clean taste.

Draft: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma was sour grain. Taste was light honey and grain.

phaleslu (10750) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 2, 2016
Draft at the brewery, served in a flight. Pours a clear piss gold with no head. Bland through and through - pale, banana chips, straw, cracker. Light-bodied, with a clean mouthfeel and modest carbonation. No sign of those hops. No sign of that Belgian Abbey yeast. It’s all been washed out, apparently.

On tap @ Petaluma Hills. Golden colored beer with a white head. Husky grains and tannins are way too strong. A lot of apple, white pepper, and dusty hops. Very sweet and grain to me at the same time with a fair amount of pear esters. A touch of green apple skin and some yeast. Not a big fan.

KyotoLefty (10726) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 10, 2016

Tap at the Brewpub. Yeasty, malty nose. Sweet, yeasty, estery flavor. Rather plain and simple bad American Belgian. Worst of the bunch.

Keg at the brewery tap room, 03/02/16.
Golden orange with a minimal off white covering that dissipates.
Nose is pear drop, yeast esters, light spice, lemon, straw.
Taste comprises much the same, light caramel, lemon rind.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
So so US Belgian affair ... delivers very little for a 6% #.

Draft - Very sweet esters. Clear gold with almost no head. Sweet, light esters and a sweet finish.

Draft at source. A weirdly tannin and apple nose. Good clarity. Pale yellow. Taste follows with just a grainy word malt flavor. Meh.

3.2
Leighton (22555) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2016
Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Doughy pale bread in the nose, light yeast. Medium sweet flavor, some dry dough, light apple, yeast, lemon. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, some doughy white bread, meringue. So so.

VsXsV (4560) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 3, 2016
Draught at Petaluma Hills. Clear golden liquid with small white head. Aroma of grain, red berries, banana, bubblegum and earth. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of grain, bread and booze. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Eh.

2.8
JulienHuxley (5964) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 2, 2016
Sample on tap at the brewpub. Clear pale gold pour with white head. Aroma is grainy, lightly fruity. Taste is fruity, not very Belgian, light banana notes. Palate is med bodied, sweet, low carbonation.
