3.3
Bule (2274) - California, USA - MAR 18, 2017
On tap at Brewster. Pours a copper color with a bit of head. Lots of malt and some date sugar flavor. They seem to clash a little with the hop profile.

2.5
Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAR 6, 2017
Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a muddy brown color with a thin off white foamy head. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma had some malt, husk, and grain up front. Assorted dark fruits. Grassy hops.
The flavor was semi-sweet with a cereal sort of flakiness. Extremely low bitterness. Cereal/husk/grainy aftertaste with the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Fairly low carbonation. ABV felt decent.
Overall, extremely weird IPA. I’m left scratching my beard on this one.

3.2
SHIG (4964) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - AUG 13, 2016
Draft: Poured a murky brown with a off white head. Aroma was malty and citrus hops. Taste was a light metal, hops and malt.

phaleslu (10747) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 2, 2016
Draft at the brewery, served in a flight. Pours a cloudy amber color with a moderate off-white head that settles into a thin film and ring while lacing the glass. Notes of leafy hops, fruity esters, dates, dry malts, and grass. Light-bodied, with a dry, bitter, earthy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Weird take on an IPA.

1.8
brokensail (16670) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 26, 2016
On tap @ Petaluma Hills. Turbid amber colored beer with a finger of khaki foam. Oh sheesh. This is brutal. Like a glass of sawdust and black pepper. Overbearing bitterness and astringency. Rough. Some date flavor, I guess. A bit of caramel malt, too. Toffee, burnt grains, and a ton of grain husk. Gross.

3.4
KyotoLefty (10726) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 10, 2016

Tap at the Brewpub. Nose of caramel, grass, earth, some dates. Pretty reddish brown, cloudy. Flavor is a bit harsh and bitter, with dates. Interesting.

2.9
Homer321 (5202) - Melboring, Florida, USA - FEB 3, 2016
Draft at source. A moderate buttery aroma with light toast deep orange to red pour. Taste is lightly astringent and almost Apple like. Weird. Rubbery. Fruity.

2.9
Ferris (16697) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 3, 2016
Draft - Sweet caramel and light wood. Clear copper with a decent light beige head. Light caramel and bitterness.

2.7
Leighton (22550) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2016
Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear ruby-gold with a creamy tan head. The nose has ripe citrus, bready malts, faint caramel. Medium sweet flavor with some rindy citrus, mellow piney hops, harsh grass, earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. A little astringent on the finish, some grass, earth, orange rind. A little harsh on the finish.

2.9
VsXsV (4560) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 3, 2016
Draught at Petaluma Hills. Hazy deep copper liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, butter, toffee and toast. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of caramel, grain and booze. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
