500cl can. I like the euro can style... reminds me of europe. But anyway, its a typical light lager thats macro brewed and fairly bland. Slight vegie aroma and adjunct laden flavor with little hop flavor. Nothing too off, but nothing good. Not worth the price that you pay over here. douglas88 (9437) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 9, 2007
330ml can. Pours a light gold with a weak head. The taste is semi-sweet with a earthy corn and veg. taste. Quite thin, almost oily. Overall, not very good, but OK. MadMan (495) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 20, 2007
Bottle. Bought from the singles shelf at Trader Joe’s. Pours a clear yellow with minimal head. Aroma is light skunk initially then mostly grassy hops with some light vegetable aromas. Flavor is actually a bit more pilsner in character though, lightly bitter with some grassiness and hay like qualities and a good hop presence. Ruined in part this flavor profile is by some assorted adjuncts that are difficult to place ( i guess that’s a yoda sentence). Finish is lightly bitter, dry, medium in duration, and not unpleasant. Not terrible, has a touch of weird sweetness at the start that fades to a decent finish. bhensonb (15358) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 19, 2007
50 cL can. Slightly corny aroma. Hint of grass. Brassy gold color with a very impressive white head. Medium body with slightly harsh carbonation. Starts with pale malt sweetness accompanied by Noble hop. A bit watery towards the finish, which is a tad vegy with definite, though light, bitter. It’s ok. UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a transparent yellow gold with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma was light and sweet. Flavor was like very watered down Heineken. This is a weak beer. Mouthfeel was thin and watery, with a bit of a lingering pasty after film. Finish is weak with a disturbing sweet aftertaste. Not recommended, I am very pissed off that I bought a whole sixer. Re-rate note(9-13-07): having finished the whole six pack I am lowering my score; This beer really stands out as pathetic, there is a consistent metallic saccharine aftertaste in every bottle that I detest. Only the village idiot will buy this twice.

i guess there’s something cool about reviewing a retired beer. it says dutch classic but they’re retiring it? well, it probably should be, it’s rubbish. i would expect more from the dutch...well, let me take that back, they also gave us heineken. joohefner (380) - Isla Vista, California, USA - JUN 10, 2007

Looked interesting on the shelf. Pours a pale straw color with a fading white head. Aroma of caramel, corn and cat. Some cat finds its way into the taste as well - an interesting counterpoint to the barnyard funk. Fix the problems and this might be an interesting beer, but as it is? Drainpour. Nice golden color w/ a shallow, loosly spatered beachball style froth. Froth dies quickly and leaves a small trace of brewers lace. Aroma of sharp skunk and hay. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers. Balanced and bittered nicely but nothing else. Plain and simply put, next ? Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JAN 20, 2007
Lovely. A very, very pale yellow with a head that vanishes in a flash. It’s got a green bottle skunkiness when first poured. That fades and leaves a light bread and corn aroma. Thin and mildly oily in the mouth. It’s got the flavor of a light BMC without the carbonation. Lovely.
