The head was creamy with great lasting ability a bit thin on the tongue. But not bad. Sweet and bitter god balance good fruit flavor. Probably best head on beer ever. Nice bottles. Draft from brewery in koln.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2014 33cl fliptop picked up in REWE, Köln. - Supposedly one of the smaller brewery Kölsch, that nevertheless keeps to the dubious recipe of using both natural hops and hop extract. Result is a rather flat and undistinguishable Kölsch that tatstes less like lemonade for adults than some others. Drinkable, but a very bland and watery brew indeed. // Rerate draught 02/2014: malt aromatics shine through this is one of the sweeter Kölsch, despite the sourish edge on the palate. still with the typical clear, out-fermented yeast quality to it, but less of a prominent natural hop presence than e.g. Gaffel and Päffgen. 6/3/7/2/13 + 0,4

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a crystal clear, pale yellow colored body with an inch thick, foamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is lightly sweetened malts with a touch of grass and a few fruit notes. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened pale malts, a bit of a grassy bitterness, soft fruit notes, and a bit of a graininess. Finishes lightly bitter and dry before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Light body and a soft, active carbonation. Overall, a pretty basic, but well done Kölsch. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

The head is medium, the body golden. It smells sweet, malty, hoppy. The taste is malty, sweet. Mild and a bit boring, but for a Kölsch ok. 11/9/10/9/11/10

Aussehen gut, schäumt schön auf. Gar nicht herb mit fruchtiger säuerlicher Note. Insgesamt zu wenig hopfig trotz guter Süffigkeit.

Bottle. Aroma of pale malt and pear. Didn’t get any hops but the pear notes made up for it long time. In fact, it is one of the most fruity kolsch beers around, I believe. Coupled with a soft and somewhat creamy mouthfeel, this makes for a very good beer!
