Pete's really surprised me. It's a very nice brew! It has all the spicey characteristics of a microbrew, and is refreshing and smooth. A nice porch sitting beer!

UPDATED: APR 1, 2005 Has a backbone and mouthfeel which redeem it. Best served ice cold..........

When you twist off the top, put your nose to the bottle and you'll get a wonderful, fresh hop aroma. You have to do it quick, because it fades out immediately. This is considered the standard version of the American Brown style. It is a decent brew, but a bit of a lightweight overall. A bit too fizzy and thin. Although dark in color, the dark malts don't come through that well in flavor. Much better on tap.

This beer lived up to the 'Pete's Hype' I was very impressed. This was another traditional microbrewed beer. Great color, great smell, and most of all terrific flavor. I am beginning to think I need to be a bit more discriminating. But what the hell, this was a great beer, and I am not going to lie about it just to sound more 'cultured'

Not a bad brew, has a good hop bitterness, though somehow that seems to fade as you reach the bottom of the glass. Decent overall.

Nothing striking about the appearance or the aroma, but the wonderful, complex flavors this beer provide is spectacular. Cheers...
