12oz bottle (Old Notes)-Brewed in St. Paul, MN-Pours brown with a decent head. Aroma of maple and sweetness. Taste of the same. This light to medium bodied brew is a bit strong but still tasty.

Old Undated notes: Brown and nice looking in my Sam Adams glass. Sweet and mapley with a lot of peppery notes and some earthiness.

I had this beer on a trip to the NE in 99(?) and it was ok. Malt and maple flavor are evident upon first taste. I think this was the first maple beer I ever tried. Overall it wasnt bad, just not quite great either.

RSRIZZO (2032) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 23, 2007
Had this beer on 7/10/1998. Color is a deep dark brown, with low carbonation and very light head. Aroma is the sweet scent of Maple syrup. Taste is rich with a sharp bitterness. It starts with a good medium body that right from the start brings on a smoke taste with light back tones of maple starting as it goes down. All of this builds a little stronger in the finish, which is filled with a sharp bitterness. The smokey maple flavor is a little to strong for me but the rest of this is ok.

BallyLoser (136) - Redmond, Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2007
Very tasty. Sweet finish. full body with a nice dark brown colour. A bit of a malty taste.

faroeviking (11220) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 25, 2007
Bottle bought in Massachusetts. Dark brown colour. Sweet aroma of raisins and well roasted malts. Flavour: smooth, sweet maple, quite a toasty maltiness, dryish finish. A great tasting different brewed porter, just so tastyindeed! Too bad its no longer brewed.

DocLock (11048) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2004
Pours deep brown, with strong maple syrup aroma. Tastes pretty good, with fairly realistic maple flavor, and a decent, fairly smooth finish.

larsniclas (7217) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JAN 24, 2004
Bottled. Black with some creamy head. Aroma from chocolate, coffee, raisins and a bit nutty. Rather full and fresh. Nutty and (cigarette)-smoky flavour.
