The best part of this beer was its color. The rest was disappointing. .....

Pale copper, decent head and lace. Malt start and palate, slightly hoppy finish with an funky aftertaste. It smooth and drinkable but average at best.

Not impressed. Used to be a big Pete's fan. Until I tried a few more hundred beers. Now I think all the Pete's beers are week and bland. Oh well. Another $6.50 down the drain.

I expected better from Pete's brewery.......................................

A cleaner, fuller brighter Red Dog. Gusler's right -- it's better than most macros. It's also a bit skunky...

Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - OCT 5, 2001
Dark amber color, large beige head, fair lace, and mild to moderate carbonation. Malt start, mild and sweet middle, a slight hop finish, also slightly dry. Once again a clean and drinkable beer, still ahead of the big 3.

Slightly buttery and dominated by yeastiness. Best I can say is its well balanced between the malt/hops. A bit dark for a red ale.
