Pours ruddy brown with a big foamy head. Nose is sweet and malty with berry. I actually kind of like this one, with a subtle spice flavor to go with the raspberry. It’s quite refreshing and a good session beer to feed my sweet tooth. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2008
Bottle, A fruity winter beer with a rasberry bitter flavor with an amber pour and fruity aroma. It was ok. moseslikesbeer (183) - conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 26, 2008
bottle. I’m a big fan of the "pete’s" brand beers and winter brew is darn good. it smells of spice and rasberry and tastes like it too. I’m not a fan of raspberry but I don’t seem to mind in this beer. it’s got a great head on it and an awesome redish color. It may be a bit tart for the average beer fan. A good ’spice’ type beer from one who is not overly liking of these beers. Not too overwhelming with flavors, a good overall beer. vmilaxer29 (412) - Virginia, USA - DEC 18, 2007
A very crisp beer with a good spice to it. A pretty decent winter ale in all.

Had this beer on 12/10/2002. Aroma is faint with a sweet scent. Color is a nice clear nut brown. Carbonation is good with a nice head. Taste is crisp, clean and refreshing. Starting with a full/light body it goes down crisp with a fruity flavor coming on. Finish is a bright fresh flavor that comes in with a mild raspberry flavor and a smooth maltiness. Overall it is a great well balanced and drinkable beer, but its not a good winter brew. tjpasley79 (29) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - OCT 26, 2007
It has been a while since I have had this, but from what I remember, this was a really good winter brew. Nice head, fairly smooth, but the flavor was quite complex. Had a nice spice to it, and once one drink was down, you wanted another to see if it was the same again. Some do not care for this kind of thing, but I am a big fan, I just wish they still sold it here. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

Bottle. Not very impressive. Dark brown coloring, couldn’t really make out the flavoring that well. Would prefer not to have it again. Not nearly as enjoyable as Pete’s Wicked Summer. hayduke (5218) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 29, 2006
Bottle. Poured a odd brown color. Nose of spices. Not very fruity. For that matter not very goodl Too much carbonation. Flavors do not seem real, though I gues they are supposed to be berry.
