3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pretty decent brew. Mild malty aroma, a little fruity and grainy. Amber or tea color with a small head. It had a heavy palate and sat pretty heavy in my stomach. Average carbonation. Malty and alcohol presence up front with a bitter hop finish. Not necessarily recommended with food. A little wood essence as well as I reached the end and it warmed a little.
Pours dark amber/maroon with very little carbonation. Definitely pine scent and the finish is very dry and a worthy version of the IPA. JohananaV2 (278) - Hurst, Texas, USA - JUL 7, 2017
I haven't been a fan of reds but the imperial reds are really doing fine for me. It's rich, strong in alcohol and finishes delicious. I got a pint for 4 bucks, who can argue with that

Smells malty and not much else. Beautiful dark red with thin off white head. Tastes more hoppy than expected with some malt to balance it out in the end. Dense plate, carbonation also more than expected. This was just ok.

One of my favorite beers and the walnut cafe carries it in draft. I wish I could find this beer in a can or bottle to drink at home

UPDATED: APR 4, 2017 Big alcohol. Rather cloying. Mostly clear garnet with minimal off-white head. A little disjointed.

Keg at Ginger Man, Plano. Cloudy copper colour, mid sized creamy head. Perfumy nose with figs and toast. Mid sweet with full body and dense, packed mouthfeel. Toast and dates, some pine. Resiny very bitter finish. A brutal, straight forward beer. Think Ace of Spades or Jesus Built My Hotrod. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 22, 2017

Sampled at Thirsty Growler. Mild malty nose, a lot of caramel with thin grainy character. Herbal hop notes. Coppery amber clear with thin head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Nice hoppy red ale, moderate bitterness throughout with carbonic fizz/bite at the finish. A little warming. Bitter finish and lingering bitter after. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 14, 2016
On tap-offwhite head with trailing lace-dk amber. A-roast/some caramel, herbal/pine. T-follows with some bite. SG111 (1968) - New York, USA - MAR 20, 2016
Tap at Brass Tap, Fort Worth. Pours deep ruby copper, white head. Aroma is lots of caramel, sort of that red ale aroma, with some pine and citrus. Flavor is malty, citrus, kind of a nice caramel malt. Yea, this is a great balance between hops and malt for a hoppy red.
