Had this one in Jordan on holiday, poured from a can. Quickly drainpoured it after a few sips. Golden colored. Very alcoholic, Malty sweetness, bad cheap ingredients. Lot’s of carbonation. Smells rotten. True to it’s style, but awful.

Koelschtrinker (20399) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JAN 31, 2017
Getreidiger, wenig süßer Antrunk. Minimal herb, trocken, minimale Malznoten. Monoton, kurzer Nachhall. Ziemlich langweilig. 8/7/7/7/8/7

A 0.5 l can, thanks Marjan! It poured a deep golden to amber body with a small head. Weak malty aroma. Flavor was, surprisingly, also only lightly sweet, a bit of sugar, honey and alcohol. Still well hidden of course. Medium body with shorter, bread and sugar finish, only lightly warming with a small bite only as it got warmed. Even watery on palate. Clean, dangerously drinkable, but also extremely empty and dull.

Can, thanks heavy (and I guess, Marjan)! Poured an old gold body with a small white head. Grain alcohol aroma. Empty taste, light malt, grain alcohol, light grain touches too, not cloying, dry astringent, reminiscent of cheap grappa in a way, just not tasty.

5/II/15 - 50cl can @ home - BB: 25/XI/15 (2015-135) Thanks to Jezus for sharing the can!

Clear orange beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: dirty, sulphur, ("putje"), sweet, dirty sewers, some almonds. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet, banana, malty, bit of caramel, sugary. Aftertaste: lots of banana, sugary, sweet, little metallic, some alcohol.

Deep golden to copper color, white head. Sweet nose, pear, malty. Sweet fruity taste, light malty, hint of alcohol. Medium body, medium carbonation, oily texture. Better than expected.

I sipped a few of these on the beach at the Red Sea so the experience and surroundings made this beer all the better. In general though...what a crap brew. Pours a pale urine yellow with a sickly looking soapy head that dies instantly. Nose and flavour of light, cereal grains and mild pinch of hop that adds nothing. Overall, a cold thirst quencher but not much else.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Clear gold beer with a small white head. Smooth palate. Fairly sweet malts. Whisper of citrus. Mild minerals. Finishes smooth and dry. Pretty inoffensive with no big off notes. Hides the abv well. Really not bad!

Scopey (14736) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2013
Can from Kenneth. It pours hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, icing sugar, candy and sweet apple. The taste is quite sweet, icing sugar, corn, cereal, apple and pear. Medium body and fine carbonation. Straight-forward, smooth and sweet. Quite clean actually. For a malt likka this is top notch!

Can at Bruce’s. Cheers Ken. It looks like a lager should. Doesn’t smell like much but I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing. Taste is like a clean easy going malt liquor. Not bad by any stretch at all. More malt liquors should be like this awesome big silver can bad boy

Leighton (21255) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2013
Can at Bruce’s in London - massive thanks to Ken for sourcing this beast. Pours clear gold with a fine, foamy white head. Rich sugary bread in the aroma. Medium sweet flavor with dry bread, some corn, cereal. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, slight metallic notes, bread, cereal. Pretty well balanced for a malt likka. Not at all cloying, not boozy. This is what a malt liquor should be.
