COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged? Many beers have a long maturation, but this one has only 24-36 months in oak barrels. Pale? This beer has an old gold to bronze color, rather than the burgundy more common in the breweries of West Flanders. This is the ‘mother beer,’ used in various quantities to blend with the other Petrus beers, and to give them their unique and very distinctive taste. This mother beer is rather sour with a bite like the best Brut Champagnes. A connoisseur’s delight! The only one of its kind on the U.S. market.

Funk, cereal, lemon in nose. Pours clear golden with white head. Taste is moderate sour with lemon, funky notes and some cereal. Slightly tart finish, lively carbonation. Overall quite enjoyable.

I am already excited when opening the bottle. Fresh persistent foam and a nice sour scent of sour berries. In the mouth it bubbles like Champagne and starts with a sour taste of vinegar, sour berries, rhubarb and something similar to Dijon mustard, but without sharpness. My taste buds are to be enjoyed by this sour beer, but over time I taste green sour apples, grapefruit and something that most resembles cider. It has a nice structure of some Lambic, without the dominant fruit flavor of a particular type. I admit it is very spectacular, but also turns out that it is refreshing, delicious and extremely delicate.

33cl bottle ~1 year old. Clear golden with a thin white head. Sour funky aroma, there's a slight appley note to it. Taste is funky, very sour, overripe fruits, rotting apples, dusty/chalky feel, very dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Ok but not a fan of this, not getting the reverence for it.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2018 Zapach: białe wino, szampan, kwaskowy Kolor: bursztynowy Smak: na samym początku drewniany i drożdżowy posmak, potem przechodzi w mocno wytrawne białe wino z posmakami zielonego jabłka i poziomek.

From a 33cl bottle. Pours a clear golden body with an off white head. Aroma is very fruity, white grapes and with nice tartness. Flavors are wonderful, white grapes, green apples, malts, touches of lemons, grass, and spices, Nice sourness, not too much, very dry in mouth, wonderful balance of flavors. Very tasty and enjoyable. I love this beer!

Belle couleur. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ABV 7,3% but tastes stronger. I can taste alcohol too clearly. To be honest this is not very good sour beer. Too pungent flavor to me. Needs more balance. Unfortunately I can't find the oak barrel at all. Could be better without aging in the barrel.

Clear golden, white head. Clean vinegar and brett aroma. Sour. Flavour: apple vinegar, wet straw, light flowery notes. Plain and good.
