Aged? Many beers have a long maturation, but this one has only 24-36 months in oak barrels. Pale? This beer has an old gold to bronze color, rather than the burgundy more common in the breweries of West Flanders. This is the ‘mother beer,’ used in various quantities to blend with the other Petrus beers, and to give them their unique and very distinctive taste. This mother beer is rather sour with a bite like the best Brut Champagnes. A connoisseur’s delight! The only one of its kind on the U.S. market.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow with effervescent bubbly white head and a continued release of carbonation from the bottom of the glass. Smell is light tart fruit, some earthy/woodiness. Taste is lactic tartness, vinegar, with the oak showing through. Very dry with a lasting tartness. Nice.

Quite tart, not as tart as Bakewell sour. Like it! Don't love it. But it's better than a fruit beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Zapach: szampan, winny. Wygląd: złote, piana niska, szybko znika. Smak: kwaśny, po czym goryczkowa kontra, chyba od dębu, bardzo przyjemny posmak.

Bootlegger007 (166) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 10, 2017
This was my first sour ale, it grew on me the more I tasted, aroma was perfume, lemon citrus and slightly bready, clear light yellow in colour with a good sized white head, half way through I felt the lemon sourness kick in, with an aftertaste of spice pepper, carbonation was soft but tangy, increadable
