many thanks to mwsf for cracking this open. massive aroma of white grape, vinegar, oak and pleanty of sourness. quite sharp but with plenty of character, bloody nose, hint of cherry and tomato sauce flavoured crisps and then a touch of lemon rind and dry sourness. really classy stuff, i can´t believe it´s not rated higher ChillCoat (1029) - Concord, California, USA - JAN 15, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2005 Bottled. Pours light orange in color just a whisp of a head with no lacing although the carbonation is quite active in the glass. Big sour, vinegar like aromas with notes of an earthy apple cider. Musty sourness is the predominant flavor. The first taste actually mad the top of my throat close up just a bit. Dry spicy aftertaste. The flavor seems to be just a little watery but overall this is a damn good sour ale. doublebock (558) - California, USA - MAR 3, 2007

Appearance: brilliant straw and gold. Bubbly airy egg white head fades bubbly and clumpy – globs stick to sides of glass and float in the middle.

Nose: lemon bars full of zip and zest. Pinot grigio grapes and wine. Essence of wild soured fermentation as the grapes ferment. Oak planks damp with dew. Grape skins and pomace. Cactus.
Palate: lemon prominent with lemon bars, lemon sorbet. Faint sweetness in the back. Pinot grigio in the middle with a touch of tropical tartness – papaya and kiwi. Angel food cake sweetness in the middle, subtle and delicate. Freshly cut oak planks. Pomegranate long in the finish after each swallow. Playful acidity and carbonation.
Final Thoughts: even better than I was expecting. I love beer aged in oak and I love sour. Once more those fabulous Belgians have done it and done it right. May I have another please and thank you.
Delicious sour. Pale golden color. The nose smells just like a well aged Grand Cru White Burgundy. Medium bodied, nimble, highly acidic with a finish that just won’t stop. Amazing beer. From tap.

Nice golden color. Small head. Acidic pineapple, barnyard, mild wood, apple cider vinegar, some vanilla, pomegranate tart. Love it! Just wish it had a longer finish.. alliance100 (1159) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Draft and bottle , medium to light copper pour, lots of funky aromas, pleasant sourness. Excellent palate cleanser. Perfect summer beer, very refreshing.
