Petrus Aged Red is constructed from a base of Double Brown Ale. 15% Petrus Aged Pale is added to provide a dry character to the brew and give it a slight sour essence. Finally the brewer adds fresh cherries, which are evident in the rich thick head. Petrus Aged Red is a perfect blend of sweet and sour with a cherry undertone which makes this brew remarkably drinkable at 8.5% ABV.

Dark brown reddish colour, medium beige head. Aroma of cherry, other dark fruits, caramel, oak. Sweet lightly sour taste with mild fruity bitterness in finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice fruity beer.

Hodně dobré pivo s tóny red sour/brownu, zde je ale přidáno více cukru, a ve finále to také odpovídá nasládlejší chuti, s tóny červeného vína. Jemná pěna i říz podtrhuje slušnou kvalitu tohoto piva.

Brune claire trouble, reflets rougeâtres, soit, OK. Puis...

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2017 Not really my kind of beer, but...: it's well made. Amber/Brown colour in the glass, aroma sweet-sour with a hint of marcipan. Taste much the same but more sour.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep ruby pour, minimal off-white head. Strong cherry candy on the nose, very pleasant, surprisingly quite sweet. Medium body, medium carbonation. Taste is nicely balanced between sour and candy sweet. This one is pretty interesting - it's like liquid cherry candy. Sugary sweet aroma with citrus tartness to back it up. Candy. Cherry. Malty backbone. Sticky on the tongue. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium finish. Overall.... tasty. Very tasty. Like I said - liquid cherry candy. Well balanced taste and aroma, tamed sourness, well hidden alcohol... Delicious brew.

Butelka. Aromat polewy wiśniowej z tanich lodów z marketu. Stuczny, że hej. Słodki, stuczny, wiśniowy ulepek.

kamil3ds (105) - POLAND - SEP 21, 2017
Wygląd piwa zdecydowanie na plus, głęboki czerwony kolor, aromat wiśni. W smaku słodko-kwaśne, owocowe, trochę ściągające. Alkohol niewyczuwalny
