Petrus Aged Red is constructed from a base of Double Brown Ale. 15% Petrus Aged Pale is added to provide a dry character to the brew and give it a slight sour essence. Finally the brewer adds fresh cherries, which are evident in the rich thick head. Petrus Aged Red is a perfect blend of sweet and sour with a cherry undertone which makes this brew remarkably drinkable at 8.5% ABV.

ruby color, aroma of tart cherries, same flavors, slight oak notes, not very sour at all, to sweet

Bottle. Aroma- distinct, sweet cherries dominate, it feels a bit artificially. Dark red, clear, with a low, lilac head, which quickly reduces to a ring. Taste- again sweet cherries completely covers the rest of beer. For me, this sweetness is to high and makes it tiring. In the background, there is barely noticeable wooden note. Low-bodied, with a high carbonation. Definitely not my kind of beer.

Amazing smell of cherries. Tastes slightly like cherry cola. Absolutely awesome. Deep ruby red colour. Nice sweetness to it.

Bottle from Lidl UK. Bright red pinkish red, clear with a white foam head. Nose is sweet, sugary, cherry, raspberry, very fruity and sweet, just a touch of fruit tartness. Taste is very much on the sweet sugary cherry side. Not much sour or tartness, which would make it slightly less cloying.

Reddish brown with a dense head. Cherry and chocolate aroma and flavour. Sweet and sour with a lactic quality

33oml In a Cantillon tumbler : (lidl petrus six pack) Nose of sweet cherry , blood , dark gloopy purple things . Not too generic and I thought it may be . Foamy tan beige head subsides soon after pouring..deep brown/purple beer . Its a very drinkable kriek , the booze % is camouflaged under the sweet cherry texture with little evidence . Not too tart and I could do with some sour complexity on the finish of this one . A solid mid range and mild sour Sour ale.

[Butelka 14.03.2019] Barwa rubinowa, klarowne. Piana beżowa, niska, średnio pęcherzykowa, błyskawicznie redukująca się i pozostawia obrączkę. Aromat wiśniowy, kwaśny, winny. W smaku mocno wiśniowe, kwaśne i słodkie zarazem. Wysycenie wysokie. Dość ciekawa propozycja.

Nawet nawet. Aromat przyjemnie wiśniowy, wygląd ok, a smak... Trochę zbyt wiśniowy. Jakbym pił piwo z dużą dawką syropu...

From old tasting notes. Labeled as Petrus Oak Aged Dark Beer. Deep copper brown color. Rocky beige head. Soft fruity malt nose with yeasty notes. Fruity malt flavor hints at Apple peels and cherries. Rich and flavorful.

Butelka. Rubinowe, klarowne.
