COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Petrus Aged Red is constructed from a base of Double Brown Ale. 15% Petrus Aged Pale is added to provide a dry character to the brew and give it a slight sour essence. Finally the brewer adds fresh cherries, which are evident in the rich thick head. Petrus Aged Red is a perfect blend of sweet and sour with a cherry undertone which makes this brew remarkably drinkable at 8.5% ABV.

Bottle into tumbler, deep reddish hued brown color with foamy tan head. Aroma of candy cherries, liquorice and some red wine. Taste adds notes of caramel, tart sweet cherries, slight nuttiness and tannic oak. Light body, moderate carbonation, sour, sweet, dry with malty tart finish. Nice fruity sour, somewhat on the candy sweet side.

Copenhagen 24/7 2017. 33 cl bottle from Fakta. Pretty informative label stating that this is part their sour Foeder Aged Pale and part Dubbel Bruin. Should ensure a Sour Sweet experience. Pours clear deep brown with strong red tinge. Off white head. Settles as 1cm thick layer of fluffy foam. Aroma is strong and sweet. Caramel, toffee, shoe polish and kind of perfumed marzipan. Medium carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is fairly sweet followed by more subdued sourness. Aftertaste is sour and semi dry. I like the concept about mixing the foeder beer with more regular beer but I think that they are overdoing the sweet side a bit on this one.

Appearance: pours clear red with good pink soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: bread, cherries, light oak and caramel. palette: medium berry aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, somewhat balanced by a light to medium bitterness and light acidity, average to long duration, and an oily texture. Overall: well balanced refreshing fruity sour

Det skal man bare ikke - blande godt øl ( en dubbel) med en dårlig øl (kirsebærøl) og tro at der kommer noget godt ud af det. Det er vel kun alkohol procenten på 8,5 som gør at den ikke ryger i vasken. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

God og spændende øl. Masser af friskhed og fylde. Tilpas sur. Lidt kedeligt udseende.

Bottle from Lidl as part of a 6-pack. Dark red, translucent. Small pink-beige head. Light floral and fruity aroma with a touch of oak. Taste is mostly sweet cherry with a bitter/sour nip near the end. Moderate carbonation. Surprisingly pleasant and very, very refreshing.
