330ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Clear deep golden colour with no yeast sediments; Half finger head and soapy white foam which faeds in 40 seconds; Very Good sticky lacing with notable small carbonation; Sweet aroma of malt, with red fruits, caramel, light floral, strong sugar, light yeast, faint lemon and light grass; Mid to strong sweet taste of bready malt, with caramel, red fruits, floral, sugar, strong bread, light yeast, light lemon, light bitter hops and grass; Mid to light body. Slick palate; Mouth feel is fair Pils maltyness in a somewhat thinned background. Notably strong red fruitiness and caramel. Lots of carbo (I burped a lot) and very sugarly sweet, close to cloying. Very bready and low lemon to round. Hmmm Hoppiness is faint lemon and light grass in nose, and somewhat stronger in taste; Bitterness is light for an abrupt, very low astringent sweet caramel finish; Slightly dry after taste. Sweet and slightly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one is a step up from the bland Petrus Speciale, in a wrong way: sugary sweet, lack of any nice Belgian fruity yeasty aroma or taste, and lots of carbo. Just a sweet caramel-lish Belgian Ale, better than basic but not much else. Pass.

Light corn aroma in the glass which then turns into honey. The color also reminds of honey. Sweet taste also with an aftertaste of honey. Low carbonation. Metallic feel in the mouth. Worth trying but wouldnt have another one.

33 cl. bottle @ my parents in law, Wildervank. Clear dark golden with a big white head. Yeasty grainy aroma. Taste is at first sweet but has a bitter finish. Almost pilsener like but sweeter. Nice very Belgian beer.
