FROTHINGSLOSH (7161) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 13, 2010
Sampled on draft at the Sharp Edge Beer Emporium this beer poured a hazy dark golden color with a medium sized white head that produced good lacing. The aroma was tangy with notes of sugar and grape. The flavor was tangy and sugary with notes of pear and grape and a light yeasty undertone. The finish was long and very sweet. Fairly full bodied. Tasty but very one dimensional.

20100507 330ml bottle from State Line. Hazy golden with lofty, loose white froth. Aroma is fruity with dried apricot notes, a bit of dinner roll, apple butter. Nice, tidy flavor with mild yeasty spice, sweet fruitiness, some lemony-PEZ-tart something or other. Velvety palate with only a late prickle followed by nice quenching pils-like dryness. Very pleasant beer that could be markedly improved simply by being locally brewed and on tap around town.

een beetje overheersende carramel smaak. de carramel vind je zelfs overal in terug in het aroma, de taste het palate en zelfs de kleur heeft een mooie heldere carramel schijn.

very light amber pour with a nice sized off white head. Aroma was very zesty, lots of lemon mixed with some belgian sugars. Flavor is just not working for me. Pretty stale, lots of cardboard, and just no body behind it. Blah.

Sample at Global Beer Expo. Pours a pale blonde with slight haze. Nose is estery, a little fruity with a touch of bananas. Flavor is very muted, pils malt and yeast notes. Meh.

Aroma: Apples, light grains, and a touch of hay.

Appearance: Solid golden yellow body, clear, with a ton of bubbles right from the get-go. Smaller sized head 1/2" head, esp after have a couple of tripels which had thick caps.

Taste: Very clean. Light fruity and grain notes, little in the way of noticeable hops.

Palate: Medium carbonation, nothing sticky , finish is quick and clean. Slight alcoholic burn.

Overall: Easy to drink, but a bit high in alcohol for a session beer. The one bottles was just right.
