UPDATED: MAR 22, 2013 Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: moderate cherry aroma with raisin and leathery overtones. Appearance: small, fizzy, light-brown initial head that quickly disappeared. No lacing. Hazy, flat, red/brown body. Taste: complex. In the initial flavor, I detected a moderate, bread-like and raisiny taste with a hint of alcohol. The finish is lightly sour and also raisin-like. Duration is longer than average. Palate: light body, dry texture, lively carbonation and metallic finish. Overall: unique and very interesting. I like it.

hrabren (1516) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 31, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2017 0.33 l bottle I got for birthday from my family. Thanks! Shared with lovely Anja. Ruby red to brown, small diminishing off-white to tan head. Aroma is fruity, with a touch of wood and alcohol. Dried fruits, jam. Light caramel. Some spice, gingerbread. Dry, toasty or light roasty, a bit harsh. Light body, kinda watery, light finish. Metallic. Starts good, but it's not a very serious beer.

nephirem (622) - CROATIA - SEP 29, 2017
Bottle, 0.33l. 7% ABV. Clear deep ruby pour, thin layer of off-white head. Short retention. Quite sweet on the nose with intense caramel and candy. Strong herbal character. Medium body with slightly above average carbonation. Light palate, quite prickly. Starts of on the sweet side, a bit sugary even. Later develops into slight bitterness with a boozy touch. Aroma of belgian yeast, caramel, toffee and candy. Herbal liquor, honey. Medium lasting finish, moderately bitter and dry. Overall, textbook dubbel with nothing much to make it stand out from the crowd. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though. Good one.

Zapach słodki słodowy, czuć rodzynki, tofii, lekki zapach tostów. Barwa ciemno czerwona rubinowa pod światło, przejrzyste, piana gęsta w miarę obfita ale szybko znika i zostaje drobny pasek, oblepia szkło. Smak fajna słodycz słodowo-rodzynkowa, skórka od chleba, niskie wysycenie, brak goryczki. Odczucie w ustach aksamitne, posmak skórki od chleba.Piwo pite w tulipie w temperaturze 11-12°C, 20 miesięcy po terminie przydatności. ENGLISH: Aroma - sweet malty, raisiny, light toast. Bottle, from Lidl. Red brown, thin fizzy but shortlived pale beige head and gentle condition. Sweet figgy nose with low orange citrus and a touch of roasted barley. In the mouth its quite soft and sweet with plenty of figgy fruit, some oxidised woody notes and a little earthiness, finish is short and sweet with some slight aniseed notes lingering cola fruitiness.
