BeerFunGuy (875) - California, USA - FEB 26, 2015
I am a huge fan of sours and this one is right up there. It has wine like aroma and flavor. Pours a deep red brown with light colored head. It is a little mild in terms of its sourness but really enjoyable. The aroma would lead you to believe that it is more sour than it actually is. Very well done. kimcgolf (872) - Dacula, Georgia, USA - SEP 29, 2009
Poured a dark brown with ruby tints and a thin tan head that dissipated quickly to little head or lacing. Aroma was a mild hint of hoppy sour apples and malty dark fruit. Mouthfeel was a pour attempt at a Flemish Sour....slightly sour on the onset, followed by slightly sweet, but never quite got there on either. Flavor was a weak continuation of the scents of the nose, and the finish was short and slightly dry.
Ok, but by no means great Numenor (871) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 3, 2006
A sour apple aroma, very nice for this type of beer. Dark brown in color, with a light ivroy head. Sweet dark fruits with some light oak flavors SilverfoX (871) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2014

Not bad for a sour but I’m still trying to get used to them. Dark color in the glass it smells like cola and berries. Taste has a mild sour fruit with spme cherries. Tart on the finish. rcasta (864) - EL SALVADOR - NOV 27, 2008

Bottle. Pours opaque dark reddish black with small white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, port wine, prunes, gravy and oak barrels. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and medium sour. Body is light oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and very sour with notes that follow the nose. SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2010
A- deep reddish brown body with thin white head. Head fades and leaves behind plenty of lacing in the glass.
S- sweet/sour smell. Nice malty backbone.
T- Sweet dark fruity taste upfront with good malt backbone. The taste then becomes somewhat tart and sour. Finish is similar to the sweet fruity beginning.
P- Low carbonation with a a thin-somewhat watery mouthfeel. Goes down very smooth.
O- This was interesting and very different. I’d order it again. Sweet and sour but not as intense as a fruit lambic.
Serving type: on-tap

bottle pour..dark brown pour..solid amount of carbonation on sides rising up..little film like head that sticks around..aroma is wild black cherry with a bit of sourness as well..not getting much from the oak barrel..taste is same as the aroma..overall expecting a bit more from this..pretty thin..not much intrigue..
