COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark ruby red red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour mother beer with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

nice dark brown colour somewhat metallic in taste though. I was surprised to discover its a flemish sour... I was certain it was trying to be a belgian strong ale. There is a definite sour taste. Its not that great.

250 ml bottle - pours dark, dark brown, with a large off-white head. Aroma of sour grapes and malt vinegar and some graininess as well. Flavour less boldly sour than the nose, and more complex, too. Sour red cherries, red plums, and grapes with a quick wave of smoky malt near the back of the palate. Fading sourness at the end, and a very dry finish. I like this one.

Bottle, pours a dark red/brown color, with a tan head and decent lace. Slightly sour aroma, faint medium malts, are also noticible. Slight sour flavor nothing like a Rodenbach or Duchess, A bit watery on the palate. Also slight metallic hops but very slight, some notes of oak. Nice but very light I was hoping for something a bit more sour.

Round, fruity aromatics. Deep brown color with excellent head retention. Light bodied, yet a bit unbalanced with malt. Could use more barrel treatment/ sourness. Clipped finish. Refreshing, but just OK.

Its like liquid Sweet Tarts. This stuff will get your gal power-drunk since it has none of the beer qualitites we all love. This will straighten her angles and solve her problems. Delicious stuff. Like a La Folie Light.

Medium reddish brown, hazy. Thin halo of foam leaves slight lace that slumps back into the beer. Fruity nose- cranberry, cherry, fig- plus burnt wood, maple, and talcum powder. Some cellar mustiness asserts itself after a few minutes. Flavor is tart and fruity, blueberries and blackberries, pumpkin pie spice, caramel, and hints of dark breadcrust and black jellybeans. Theres something else... toasted sesame seeds is the closest I can describe it. Although not watery, the mouthfeel is light, and faintly tannic. Pleasant tart aftertaste is a combination of lemon peel, grapeskin, and nectarine.

Interesting that this has such a riot of flavors. Dark fruits, caramel, malt, citrus, raisin, sour grape, etc., not worth writing it all down, not something I want to try again, kind of a mess.

Medium brown - mostly clear - slightly tart aroma - notes of spice, nuts, sour cherry, vanilla and malt. Flavor is lively & tart, without being unpleasantly sour or funky. Sort of remindes me of Duchess de Bourgogne only a little more sweet and mild.

Oak raisin plum. Pours dark with frothy head. Tastes of red wine. Carbonated evident. Complex and unique. Some bitterness. Very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
