Bottle. Pours a deep mahogany color with a frothy tan head. Mostly malty aromas. Full body with big mouthfeel. Big malty sweet flavor flavor balance. Mellow raisiny notes. Late alcohol character. Very clean and smooth. A nice big Belgian ale without overpowering Belgian yeast character. Very nice. mikske79 (1666) - Puerto Plata, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - AUG 15, 2014
Een van de beste winterbieren dat ik ooit al geprobeerd heb. Een bier met veel smaak aan zoals het hoort. ads135 (4587) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 16, 2012
This is a very nice winter beer. Really, a dessert beer, as this tastes overwhelmingly like banana bread. If you can embrace this, this is the beer for you. Vaughn brought this one to the winter beer tasting in Dec. 2012. HippieRN (23) - thornton, Colorado, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Pours a beautiful deep ruby with no head or lacing. The taste is mildly sweet. Flavors of sweet malt, spice, bread, candied fruit, and perhaps hints of citrus. Dry finish and hardly any aftertaste. Medium-light body and soft carbonation. Lore (2671) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 25, 2014
dark amber to mahogany colour, moderate sized creamy beige-ish head; aroma of Christmas gingerbread, clove, hints of cinnamon and caramel; taste is the same with apple notes;alcohol is fully hidden; very heavy ale, perfect choice for a Christmas Eve menu

Comes out of tap clear mahogany with a thick, fine-bubbled, and very persistent cream-buff head that leaves very generous lacing. Aroma has malty core and sharp fruit overtone with a hint of clove. Bold flavor has notes of malt, apple, pear, cloves, and caramel, with a sharp alcohol bite. Texture is smooth and fizzy, if not too firm. Welcome winter - brews. This one was cellaring for a while. Pours a clean, deep orange-amber colour with a light beige, frothy head, great retention and creamy lacing. Mild cinnamon aromas with other spices. Ginger bread and caramel malts. The alcohol is very well-hidden. So smooth and the taste is similar. Everything is nicely blended and one I could have every year. My type of winter warmer. cmc619 (501) - California, USA - FEB 8, 2015
From 75cl into Lagunitas. Cold recently in Belgium so this seemed like a good choice to bring up from the cellar. Attractive bottle with the red cover. Pours a red-brown with an average head. Smell is brown sugar edging into raisin and a feint of cinnamon. A bit on the sweet side but the alcohol is completely hidden. Actually a really good beer - nice for sipping in the cold! cattaneopapa (386) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 20, 2015
750ml bottle from LCBO. 9% alc / vol. Pours a deep amber colour with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, nutmeg, and cherries. Taste matches the aroma with notes of bourbon and has a dry and spicy finish. Moderate carbonation. Has a sticky mouthfeel. Subliminal64 (170) - London, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2015
Smells of gingerbread and spices.
Pours a dark amber colour. Lots of head that lasts to the end.
Taste is gingerbread, spices, and a solid ale.
Lots of carbonation. No harsh aftertaste.
Overall I was very happy with this brew Will purchase again. Next winter.
