500 ml. draft @ Ausschank Pfaffen Brauerei Max Pffgen. Completely clear amber golden with a creamy white head. Smells very sweet, lots of vanilla, lemon sorbet, sweet sugary, this is really something else. Taste is sweet & plenty of it vanilla, sweet lemons, faint coconut, sweet white bread, sticky, touch sweet spices, fruity & very candy-like. Mellow, super easy to drink and not too overt in making you submit with the previously mentioned flavours. Very clean & drank like water, finished my half litre in no time. This one was definitely something else, really enjoyed it, it was an odd one for sure. It is a bit like candy.

Tap at the Ausschank. Dark blond, clear with a high, airy head. Very malty nose, estery, peach, orange, bread. Very fruity and malty flavor, sweet but balanced by alcohol and tangy fruit, grassy hop finish. Full body, low carbonation.

Draft @ at the source. Clearish light amber with an off white head. Aroma of honey, sourdough bread and herbal tea. Flavor is sweet honey malt with lots of fruitiness. Medium body. Not a big fan of this one, pretty sweet and too fruity.

Bottle at Pfaffen, Koln, 26/04/13. Hazed golden amber with a good sized white head. Nose is dark malt, caramel, light grass, dark fruit. Taste comprises fruits, dark malt, light boozey tones, sugars. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry finish with a touch of alcohol. Decent bock.

Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - APR 20, 2013
On tap at the beer hall in Cologne. Pours a crystal clear, lighter amber colored body with a two finger-width, foamy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is sweet corn and DMS with a bit of a bready caramel note, touches of fruit, and a light grass. Flavor is similar. Sweet DMS with some bready caramels, a light grassy bitterness, some fruit, and grain. Finishes dry and cloying before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Medium-light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, another bad beer from these guys. Straight DMS and tough to put down. A bit better than their Klsch, but not by much.
