500 ml bottle. Pours clear light brown with a medium white head. Honey aroma. Spicy taste with honey notes. Mild palate.
Bottle from Koln kiosk. Handsome little swing top bottle. Golden clear lots of CO2, almost no head. Cereal, fresh bread aroma. Crisp with a light maltiness, similar to a helles. Decent table beer, but the sweet alcohol streak is not so good. efeesse (541) - Praha, CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 5, 2017
Beer with light color, light body, average carbonized, some foam in the top, some bitterness, (drunk a 20cl cup in ’Brauerei Pfaffen’, Köln, DE). biir (1309) - Berlin, - DEC 2, 2016
Bottle - Nice hazy Kölsch, with a rather malty body. Transferring old data here... Benzai (15446) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 22, 2016
Bottle @ family weekend in Germany, bought at local Getrankemarkt. Clear a bit pale golden color, average sized white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste moderately malty, light hay, suprisingly a light citrussy hint, average bitterness. Average body and carbonation. Decent.. FrankZappa7 (510) - GERMANY - JAN 1, 2016

Nice fruity lager-like aroma. Fresh and refreshing. Gentle hop finish, a nice citrussy aspect and a gentle bite. Fullish palate, smooth. 2 of these went down very easily. This is my first proof that Kolsch isn’t, or shouldn’t be, just a pale coloured lager beer, the fruitiness is unlike anything I’ve had in a lager context.
Zlotta (3193) - Hagen / Bonn, GERMANY - FEB 12, 2015
A Kölsch - not really from Cologne though - for Weiberfastnacht: 0,33 l bottle from Biermuseum in Cologne, best before 2/2015. Minimally hazy, golden yellow with a touch of brown, fine-pored, creamy, stable, white head. Really nice and fresh citrusy aroma, detecting some lemon and white grapes with hints of honey. Interesting sweetish tase dominated by honey with some citrusy notes and green apple. Short, slightly bitter and pleasant finish. Thin to medium body but not watery, almost creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Really nice surprise, doesn’t taste like any of the Kölsch I’ve had before. Very refreshing and not too sweet but just enough. Good! rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 23, 2014
330 ml bottle. From a trade with Erzengel. Vielen Dank Gabriel!tom10101 (6033) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 24, 2014
Slightly cloudy deep golden colour with a small foamy off-white head.
Herbal and fruity notes, sweetness, cereal malt and some sugary notes in the aroma. The flavour is sweet malty with some sweetish floral notes. Not very fresh.
Cask @ Ausschank Pfaffen Brauerei Max Päffgen. Almost clear golden with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma is of cereals, fresh herbal notes, light spiciness and floral notes. Taste is also of cerals, fresh grass, light spiciness, floral notes and breadied malt. Light/medium body. Moderate carbonation. Light lingering spicy finish. Good Kölsch. A tad heavy for the abv. Not even in the same league as the Päffgen Kölsch though.
