Inspired by traditional Belgian Tripels such as Westmalle Tripel, this beer delivers classic flavor with extra emphasis on the hops. White fluffy head on top of bright golden hues. Aromas of floral grass with hints of pear. Flavors of apricot are finessed with the spiciness from the hops. The palate is left with a zesty earthiness.

On draught at Caps & Corks. Deceptively light golden in color, almost like a pils. So much herbal, floral, and sweet bubblegum flavors. Wonderful!

375 corked bottle picked up at Homebrew Stuff yesterday for about $7... Not a bad price at all.. Pours hazed light orange, with a great foamy white head.. nice lacing... Perfumy fruity esters make me think orange and lesser apricot.. yeasty spiciness is softened by a light bready pils malt.. Body and carbonation are spot-on. This could easily have been made in Belgium.

375 ml bottle purchased fro Trader Joe in Salem OR. $4.99. Nice straw coloured body...quite dense haze. Small neat white head. Medicinal, earthy and spicy aromas. There seems also be a bit of raw alcohol. Taste similar to the aroma..bit more peppery..alcohol is strong...but not as raw as the smell. Palate is medium dry with good carbonation.. Its OK but not a good tripel.

Bottle (375ml $6): Another I forgot to rate when I drank it, but I do remeber thinking this was one of my favorite Tripel. Great fruity flavors.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2016 Bottle-conditioned 375ml. Pours milky gold with a fine white head. Aroma is strongly yeasty with a dominant note of banana esters, accompanied by a milk-cream yeast rawness, and mild pepper and citrus hoppiness. Medium-full bodied, strongly sweet with moderate bitterness and low acidity. It’s gritty and silty and doughy, ingredient expression is muddled and obscured by the strong yeastiness (this from a bottle which was stored upright, undisturbed, and poured carefully. Hard to assess what it would be like without so much yeast in suspension.

Cloudy glowing golden with a white head. Aroma is bright citrus, floral, lemongrass, and a bit of yeast spiciness. Medium, creamy but bubbly body. Flavor has mostly floral, lemony citrus, apricot, and a finish of spice. It ends with nice lingering bitterness and sweet fruits. A very nice tripel.

Pours a medium golden color with three fingers of white foam. Soft pear, honeycomb, spicy yeast and bit of spice and grass linger. Solid tripel with a nice balance of yeast, sweetness and bitterness.

On draught at pFriem. Colour...pale hold with barely any head. Nose...quintessential Belgian aromas with some floral notes and boiled sweets. Palate...sweetly spicy and just plain sweet-ish, this tripel certainly falls in the realm where it belongs. There’s plenty of dried orchard fruits with a particular lean towards D’Anjou and Comice pears. There’s a zestiness on the mid palate and a lingering note of boiled sweets on the finish.

Sampled at the brewery. Very clear golden. White foam with sticky tat work lacing. Rich sweet malts and wheat are tasted first. Soft fruit behind that. Nice subtlety. Sonpleasant after you get past the sweetness.

Tap. Clear gold. Mild, with some hoppiness. Aroma and flavor are a little too simple and not smooth enough. Decent attempt at a great style.

On tap at pFriem, pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma contains notes of floral hops, grass, and pear. Flavour is extremely dry, bringing out notes of spicy hops, grass, a little floral quality, and very dry pears. Extremely dry, hoppy and spicy, without any hint of residual sugar, just how I like my tripels. Excellent stuff.
