From a 500 ml bottle into a chalice. Pours golden with head and lace. Light aroma of grains, pale malt, citrus zest. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of rich grains, grapefruit rind zest, pale malt, pine resin, slight toothpaste & pepper & dry finish. Overall rich, bold, satisfying for a hop head. Capa (3448) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - NOV 20, 2017
Clear orange with a tall white head. Lightly sweet tropical fruits, grapefruit, sweet biscuit malt, medium resinous hops. Medium bodied. Sharp and lingering bitterness with a mildly dry finish. Very nice. MNAle (228) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 13, 2017
Aroma is not very strong; earthy, fruit, and pine. Clear golden with moderately heavy carbonation. 3/4 inch tan-white, creamy head, receding slowly, leaving sticky lacing. Smooth feel, mild citrus and earthy taste, with a nicely bitter middle and finish. Earthy, citrus, and pine taste throughout. This is a very nice IPA. raphael (1291) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 1, 2017
Pfriem is known for it's saisons and other less hoppy beers, but this shows they can do big IPA's as well as anyone. on tap at proper pint. well bakanced flavors of leather, oak & caramel. aromas of resin, wheat & something spicy. the alcohol is stealth. the beer is clear. balanced finish. on tap at proper pint. Bottle. Golden color and big head. Not a huge aroma but there is some tropical notes. Light bodied, but big taste. Tropical fruit, grapefruit, passionfruit, ever so slightly sweet. 7.8% is well hidden. Really good for 3.99 a bottle.

500ml bottle pours out golden topped with a puffy sand head. Nose is big dank hops melons tropical fruit. Taste is more of the melons tropical notes and a call a candy sweetness. Ferris (16538) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 28, 2015
Draft - Grapefruit and nice mellow dank notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head.lots of sweet fruity notes, grapefruit, pithy and a dry finish. Not bad. mcberko (19002) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 25, 2015
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hay golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of piney and resinous hops, with a dry mineraly biscuity malt backing. Flavour is much the same, with lots of piney hops, not terribly dank, but with a great hop characteristic. Dry crackery malt backbone in place. Balanced and highly drinkable. Another great IPA from pFriem. fiulijn (21278) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 23, 2015
Draught at Alibi RoomGerbeer (4024) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 21, 2015
Hazy, golden to light amber, small compact head. The aroma is moderately dank, with a touch of malt and hop fruitiness. Lean body, helping the drinkability; good flavor of toffee and caramel; strong bitterness, the hop is fantastic, plenty of piney resins and oranges, a bit dunk, and traces of chamomile. A bit heavy in the final though, with a lack of juiciness.
Excellent Double IPA.
On tap. Pours a gold/amber with moderate head. Aromas of pineapple, dry citrus, pine and melons. Flavors of dried fruit, grapefruit, hop extract, and bitter resin.
