Draft pour pint at Special Brews. A perfect, pre softball game, sunny day beer here. Cloudy, pale golden pour here. A slight funk, Belgian yeast aroma. Flavor is pure bubblegum to me. Bazooka if I have to pick a brand. Only because it’s my favorite. Soft banana and Belgian constant. Refreshing session saison. Long, cool finish. Interesting.

Glowing gold. Spicy, lightly sweet, slight funk. Bite in the back. Very good session saison.

neepsntatties (2003) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 19, 2016
Bottle. Colour... very pale straw with a huge white head that tapered down to a very thin head. Nose...tea leaf, quince and yeasty notes abound, with a hint peppy funk. Palate...clean, bright and refreshing with a quick shot of lemon, peach skin and lime. There’s an odd hit of dry earth on the mid palate and then a medium length dry finish. A refreshing quaffer.

Bottle. A: Very pale straw color. Semi-opaque. Huge, billowing, foam white head. N: Peppercorn hits the nose in force. Straw, esters, and clove follow. Funk, horse blanket, earthiness, leaves, and a bit of green grape and apple round this one out. T: Quite bitter, decently sweet, and a bit funky. M: Light body, crisp carbonation, no alcohol, spritzy carbonation. O: Not sure what to think about this one. While I like the flavors, and think this is fairly comparable to Logsdon Seizon, I also don’t find myself enjoying it as much as I’d like.

Was hoping for a little more out of this. Pleasant but ultimately a touch boring. Light pepper and a funky yeast. Nice but not deep.

Pale yellow with a large creamy head and noticeable carbonation. Aroma is saison spice, green olive, fresh baked bread. Light bodied, bittersweet on the palate with an overall good balance. Taste is fresh hay, chamomile, saison spice.
