Draft. Aroma of faint coffee grounds. Flavors are gentle mocha and vaguely sweet coffee. What's extraordinary is the mouthfeel which is marshmallow, kind of like drinking down. Really nice. beastiefan2k (4237) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - OCT 22, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2017 Draft at Bottleworks. Regular and dull. Not enough black malt for me mineral dark malts lagered. Either a little sweet or not sweet enough. wchesser (2179) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 4, 2017

Tap at the brewery.
A: Mahogany body with a brown edges, off-white head, and some lacing.
N: Cocoa, caramel, some coffee, roast, and a touch of vanilla.
T: Roast, malty body with a decent bitterness.
M: Light body, prickly carbonation, no alcohol.
O: Good schwarzbier. Perhaps doesn’t compare to the best of the style, but it’s clean, roasty, and enjoyable. neepsntatties (2084) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 1, 2015
On tap at pFriem. Colour...clear, dark ruddy-brown with a massive white head. Nose...bready, doughy and malty with notes of dried fruit. Palate...full, frothy and with a light bitter toastiness that resembles slightly burnt rye bread. The mid palate has some cola notes and toasted malt to go with a buttered biscuit flavour. The finish is clean with notes of toasted hazelnuts. pdx76 (651) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 31, 2014

On draught at pFriem Family Brewers. Nut brown color. Aroma is nuts, caramel, and a touch of smoke. Taste is similar, with some toffee notes also. Good nutty, sweet, smokey finish. beersearcher (2383) - Glendale, California, USA - AUG 31, 2013
My least favorite of the taster tray. But that is just because the other beers were so damn good. This is a solid dark brown schwarz with a touch of smoke. Great taste at such a low ABV.
